Hello what is not so nice what I mentioned is the good Audio quality it must be excellent. I also disconnect the mute transistors Q210, Q209 maybe the 1st mute-transistors Q207,Q208 should also disconnect or I found in my stock 2 boards with a DAC MASH MN6474AM Japan maybe this is possible that one of the two is OK and I can change it to this C502 v3? Maybe but first I must control the amplifier input if this is defect then the failure is on a other side. weakbit

Yes this is correct I think this happened to the MASH Chipset MN6471/4. I listen to it and listen to the transparency of the sound. I don't know why but the Sony X33ES sound in my taste (or in my ears) more brilliant. But this is a question of taste. I also have a Technics SL-P477A 4DAC MASH. In sum this NAD 502 and the NAD 5320 is also a very excellent sound CD-Player. It depend also on the CD that you're listening but there are differences. I've many of CD-Players haha - all sound different. But have a try on different with your best CD then you can compare it this is also a good tip. I found out that CDs are sound as good if you play it on a CD-Player from that time period - like the Cure Concert live sound very good in a Philips CD473. Why? I don't know why this is so. Maybe others have the same impression like me. Thank you for watching! weakbit

Hey, maybe you should upgrade your gear? Invest some money into proper solder removing pump, it's painful to watch you struggeling... And i recommend to take photos of the board BEFORE you start pulling off the connectors. So you can avoid stupid mistakes like swapping 2 identical connectors. You are lucky that you did not destroy the laser pickup or any other important part of the CD player by swapping those cables...
