The only thing that didn't make sense to me was the blood pact being broken. It didn't make any sense plot wise that it would just "happen" and let's call it "fate". I don't buy it, I hope they just don't do lazy writing in the next film. They literally couldn't move against one another, so the fact that their spells just matched and the blood pact just broke is just lazy writing.

Albus knew it was wrong to love his enemy, yet he couldn't stop. He knew what Gellert would do to the world, yet he couldn't fight against him. Albus knew he had to fight Gellert, yet he couldn't. Being in love with the enemy isn't as easy or romantic as it often sounds in stories and this is the perfect example.

0:48 you can tell Grindewarld didn’t want Dumbledore to leave, he looked so nervous and sad to see him walk away, and thinking he would come back by saying: “who would love you now, Dumbledore?” It’s also really heartbreaking when Dumbledore says he can’t fight Grindewarld, meaning he doesn’t want to hurt him, even if he did fought him, he didn’t kill or hurt him, Grindewarld did it himself.
Grindelwald never actually loved Dumbledore (you can look it up jk said it herself) so he only regrets not having a really good wizard on his side he is not acc sad though
he can't fight him because they had their blood promise but yea Dumbledore never tried to actually kill him from what we seen so far

Their bonding is so much stronger than what a blood oath can hold. Even though it was broken, they could not deny what they could have had together. "Let's call it fate" - so much pain I can see in their face. Thank u so much for reminding all GGAD moments, even if they're so painful to us, to them, those will still carve into our mind and become the unforgettable memories. Jude and Mad did an excellent job and so did you!
They both did show so many emotions during their interactions. Their hands touching each other's hearts was a powerful scene.
Just why are they so perfect together, and why haven't they already shared a movie? We need more Mads & Jude, seriously.

Their bond is something else. It wasn’t just cause of the blood pact albus didn’t want to move against grindelwald it was because he loved him and it’s hard to fight someone you love. Their bond is what a true bond should be you can see the pain in both their eyes and the trembling in their voice.

It's nothing against Depp but I think Mikkelsen played the role incredibly well * - * !You also just notice the harmony between him and Jude Law! The song and the scenes are so epic ^-^

There are so many beautiful scenes about these two in the franchise but the scene I liked the most is the one where Albus is getting strangled by the blood pact. Jude Law absolutely nailed that scene. You could just see the pain inside him. Other scene that I liked is the one where Grindelwald says, "Who will love you now Dumbledore". Its just so heart-breaking! And the edit was just as awesome as always, if not better!!

their love is heartbreaking to watch. They are enemies, but all I can see in their eyes are determination, loss, longing, and love.
The pact breaking is just like if it's saying: "It is out of my hands, I can't do this any more - from now on, it is between you two: do what your hearts tell you to".
their relationship went really deep in this film, and you never fail to do justice while portraying it! beautiful ✨
hopefully we get a better explanation of their relationship in the next movie, the chemistry between the actors is brilliant!

I grew up loving, reading and watching Harry Potter and now Fantastic Beasts has brought a whole new perspective to the Wizarding World and a new world of adventures.

Albus and Gellert's love story has been one of the best parts of these films. I'm glad they finally interacted, the chemistry between Jude Law and Mads Mikkelson was enchanting. Seeing how much they still love each other and always will even despite how the third film ended with their bloodpact breaking as well as their hearts and all of our hearts as well - their love story is heartbreaking and tragic especially because they will always love each other and never love anyone else like they do each other even though they will duel each other again 💔

thirdly, I really think that relationship between Albus and Gellert is one of the most interesting, tragic and important relationships which we could see in Wizarding World universe, and The Secrets of Dumbledore is very potential about it indeed - i really appreciate all these scenes between Jude Law and Mads Mikkelsen in this one because you can clearly feel this emotions and this kind of tragedy in it

This is absolutely beautiful.. it nearly made me cry. Such a sweet message that you portrayed and so well. This was superb.. professional standard and beyond! I was so annoyed when JD was cancelled and had never heard of Mads and vowed not to like him or even watch but I saw the movie and actually Mads was brilliant.. even better than JD. And I grew up as a huge fan of JD.. and still support him. But Mads blew the role apart and fitted it so well that I wish now he'd been in the first two. You made this stunning and highlighted all of that in your video

You can't help who your soul and heart love. They knew each other as children and grew into a love relationship. As they became older their world views changed. Their promise and blood bond as young men had become a golden cell for Dumbledore. I thought they portrayed their story beautifully.

Thanks Heavens Mikkelsen replaced Depp in this role!!! I could have never seen Deep play Dumbledore's lover and great love. He could only play a single villain, not a one madly in love. This great passion simply wouldn't have been credibile.

Thank you for this fantastic video, brought back a lot of beautiful moments between Dumbledore & Grindelwald. Despite all the rumors, FB 3 is a pretty good movie (and perhaps the franchise should stop here) The only thing is that I initially imagined the blood pact is something so powerful, even more than the unbreakable vow between Narcissa & Severus so it should have caused greater damage. However, because of the timeline and stuff, I agree that it's better this way

I don’t think they’re going to be making anymore Fantastic Beasts movies anytime soon, but I would not mind watching a TV series or a movie of Dumbledore’s and Grindelwald’s time together as teenagers. I think watching their relationship would be heartwarming

I loved this movie the most out of the first two ones, there were some flaws but still they could have been corrected if they were explained more, like they didn't explained the reason to bring Jacob, but then again as a friend Newt wanted him to bring back Queenie, it doesn't matter if he would be of any help or not, he should atleast have a chance to try and do all he could to bring her back so he won't regret it later, as he would have done the same for Tina, also as this movie was all about Love and I found many people didn't understood the blood pact breaking, but if we think about it carefully the blood pact actually got destroyed indirectly by Grindelwald who was going to attack Newt but Dumbledore came in middle in intention to protect and not to attack, and so Grindelwald spell got hit to blood pact indirectly which Dumbledore was holding and that alone made it to start to crack as Grindelwald is one of the most powerful wizards and that allowed Dumbledore's spell of protection to increase it's potential and Grindelwald increased his attack which was not even meant for Dumbledore caused the impact to break it, even with the battle with Dumbledore using attacks to just protect and Grindelwald attack which is not exactly for Dumbledore was so great, then it would be greatest if these two would actually fight for real. The only improvement this movie should have is if Qilin would kneel infront of Jacob after Dumbledore then the ending would have been perfect ofcourse he would have refused to be the leader too, but it would have improved the image of muggles in the wizarding world and give a good reason to allow Jacob to enter the wizarding world by all!

This is the only movie I watch whenever I enter my own realm of loneliness.
I used to watch the entire Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series on repeat. But this, Secrets of Dumbledore; Albus's and Gellert's story is beyond any love story atmosphere I've ever experienced from a movie. It's just epic and sad. 💔

In response to the description - it seems the pact was destroyed because they "moved against" each other without *intending* to. Grindelwald fired the Killing Curse with the sole purpose of killing Credence. Dumbeldore merely sought to block the spell and prevent Credence's death. Neither of them intended to *attack* each other. This loophole was what destroyed the pact.

I’ve known someone like Gellert.. manipulative, cruel, able to use your own feelings against you for their own gain. He and Albus were ying and yang, total opposite to each other.
