The first verse says it all. One guy looks at himself in the mirror without a girl who once was there. That girl is now with another guy. The guy who lost the girl is the ´who´ part of the title and the guy who now has the girl is the ´artist´. I also think they called it ´versus´ because they both want to win (or keep) the girl. So its the artist versus the 'who?'
