Hey I’ve just found your videos recently and it’s helped so much. The tabs were very useful but I’m challenging myself to try and read the sheet music but still struggling. Any tips for a beginner?
Hi Austin. Thanks for the comment. I'm really glad you're finding the videos helpful. As for reading music. You have to two things to learn. The names of the notes and the rhythms. Try going through the sheet music and say the note names on the staff. Go back through the same music and try clapping the rhythms. Go back again and try putting it together on your instrument. Be methodical and consistent with your practice and you'll get there. Good luck and have fun :) Thanks!

hey Josh. Slow it down. Make sure you're coming in on the downbeat of 2. Know which finger you're going to start and end on. Can you sing the rhythm? Do you know the notes...names of the notes? Be methodical...you'll get it ;)
