Wonder how many of those "got it" the 1st time they watched it or if they watched it multiple times. Remember the idea that "magicians never perform their tricks twice", theres a reason for that, and its dead because of the era of quick access videos. We need to cut magicians some slack, its tiring
People these days just aren't satisfied at being entertained and bewitched by magicians anymore. Gone are the days of our childlike wonder at magic. Now everyone seems to want to "expose" the magic tricks and downplay the magician's skill more than anything.
Case in point.
fakesolid Not to be an asshat, but I do know how he did it on my one and only time I watched the video. It just takes logic. He most probably had another card that’s the same as the one he signed on. A little sleight of hand here and there and it looked like he folded Ellen’s card when it was actually his signed card all along.
The real trick was his sleight of hand ability. Really amazing. Magic tricks are just that, tricks. There’s always an explanation for it logically. But how you manage to trick others without them seeing, that’s the real skill of magic that he has.
No sob story. No golden buzzer. No singing. What he did have was true talent and I’m glad the winner was someone like him for once

It's called a double lift, he lifted two card; Ellen's signed 10 of Hearts on the bottom with a duplicate of a signed Queen of Spades on top of it, then placed on the top of the deck which he fold and gives it to Ellen. He signs the Queen of Spades that's on the bottom of the deck but he fold the top card of the deck and puts it in his mouth (Ellen's Card). If you look carefully at 2:24 as soon as he puts the card in his mouth you could see that he accidentally flashed Ellen's card.

At 2:00 you see he is holding the 10 ♥ with his pinky. At 2:01 he flips the card very fast and folds the other card and gives it to Ellen. Then at 2:10 he flips the card again to reach another Q ♠, but still holds the 10 ♥ with his pinky so he doesn't loose it. At 2:20, he flips the card so that the 10 ♥ is at the top to fold it.

This is just a simple slight of hand trick. His other stuff is way more difficult to do. He has a card already marked with his signature in the deck and he knows where it's at. That's the one he puts in Ellen's mouth and he keeps her signature card the whole time and he puts it in his mouth. It's a simple but fun trick

He didn't switch the cards, he had a pre-signed Queen of Spades at the bottom of the deck, so he used some double lift to give her his pre-signed card, and another double lift to move her signed card to his mouth.
Yeah he definitely had a pre-signed card. The best part about all of this is I knew what he was doing but it was so fast I couldnt see it
