- In this video we show how to swap, change, or replace the grille inserts on a RAM truck. In this video we swap the grille inserts from the chrome slat grille that was plasti dipped black to the factory honeycomb style grille insert.

This is an old video, but I just followed it today to swap the chrome sport inserts on my 2017 Ram with the black honeycomb and it went perfectly! Thanks for your videos. The tip with the heat gun came in clutch.

I had a 2013 that was that gunmetal color (it was purplish in some light, and blue in others) I now have a black 2014 Limited and definitely want to do the Bed Light mod you talked about! I am not a huge fan of honeycomb grills but that actually looks really good with the black emblem and paint to match. Pretty smart idea with the heat gun trick
Thanks brother! I said the same thing before but its grown on me. The strangest thing is my sport hood (and all sport hoods) already have the honeycomb pattern in them. So now everything matches.

Just watched this video as I'm about to do an emblem swap on my 2013. I don't have the active grille shutters but I do have the ducts attached to my grille. Thinking about taking them off but curious as to why they are there and will removing them create temp issues??? Would you happen to know?? Do the grille inserts need to be put on the new grille? Im swapping the OEM chrome one for an aftermarket black grille but i dont think i comes with the inserts to direct the air. Do they absolutely need to be there?
