This video explains for itself why they're a Top Tier girl group in dancing especially!! XG are a Hip Hop/R&B Global Group (X-Pop). That is how they define it. This was an Introduction, and what it does is introduce the concept of their album, and it was done beautifully. This was amazing contemporary and hip hop dance. I think that Simon (XG's CEO) chose to have them train and promote in the K-Pop Idol system because he thinks South Korea does it best, and I believe that if he had kept them in Japan to promote and train, they would not have had the best chance to go Global successfully. Because K-Pop is become Global and is not a niche market, there is a platform for Korean artists to promote in American and work with American producers. America has the biggest Music Market in the World. Japan has the second biggest market, but they don't have a Global platform in America. Maybe that will change in the future. It will take a group from that market to make it in America, to get the attention Globally, Like BTS did for K-Pop. It was only after BTS started winning awards in America, and hitting the Billboard charts, Spotify, etc, and dealt with the racism and Xenophobia, and hate. Anytime an artist is successful, they will get haters and push back.
Hesonoo pretty means "Umbilical" (like the cord) in japan. For those who don't know the girls always chant "Hesono-O" as a prep before EVERY performance symbolizing their connection to one another as if they have one heartbeat. ONE UNIT. Putting it as the first track on the album as if they're prepping up to the following tracks is just pure genius. DREAM TEAM indeed.
Hesonoo is the first track in the album and X-Gene is the 2nd. X-Gene is short but think of it as a SOUND TEASER because they showcased the sound of the producer and all the girls ALL IN ONE TRACK.

Yes 🙌🏽 XG is Xpop as their Executive Producer explains in the Documentary Series “Xtra Xtra”, Simon “Jakops”. He was a former K-pop idol years back and he is Japanese / Korean. He wanted them to go through the K-pop Training because it’s the best system. The members have been through extensive training for almost five years. The Documentary shows the grueling process of becoming who they are. The girls are so gracious and respectful but yes…the Xenophobia was very real. I haven’t seen the HATE comments like it was 😢❤ at the beginning. Some of the girls really look up to many K-pop groups though and I felt terrible for the unnecessary drama. However, XGALX has many diverse people involved and the Korean Alphaz are increasing. 🎉🥰🫶🏽. Thank you for still supporting and sharing your Reaction. 0:45 Yea, they just don't want to be labeled as "only" one thing. They know they are influenced by Kpop, but they are also inspired by a lot more, from different sources. And they are proud of their journey, their international staff (producers, songwriters, everything) and their music in general.

And no, they are still based in Korea. They opened their office there this year, no reason to leave this soon.
They are not influenced by Kpop actually even though they are produced by Korea and using the Korean system etc., Kpop has never created a new genre or anything because kpop itself is also influenced by Western pop/American pop, XG's style is more American pop because their core identity is R&B and hip hop because they collaborate with American producers and choreographers, and yeah you could say they are X-pop or global pop because of that.

We can’t really complain about the anti-jp movements in Korea considering the history behind it. What’s worse the ex CEO of AVEX (XGALX is under this company) said something rude about Kpop on his CZcams channel regarding his support on XG and Knetizens took it seriously

The problem I’ve got is POP music came from the WEST and so other COUNTRIES…including S.Koreans use the genre and concept that is used but seldom acknowledges this fact. Numerous Kpop groups perform in JAPAN and seek fans there. The JAPANESE people have never tried to BOYCOT and CANCEL the KOREAN ARTISTS. These Japanese Girls learned Korean and are respectful, kind and gracious to everyone. They’re creating a different style and new genre concept so WHY all the hate. To continue using a made up excuse is WRONG. 🤦🏻♀️
