If needed, explanation for Goku's problem in the way less funny canon version: Goku was to suffer from a fatal heart virus a whole year before the Androids showed up, and Trunks' medicine from the future would've averted this. However, in THIS timeline, the virus never attacked him until this very day, which of course meant Goku had never been prompted to take the medicine. The future changed more than Trunks had thought it would.
In the canon it was said to Goku to take the medicine once he started having symptoms A.K.A right now
@guilhermecarlinisampaio8329 this is closer to what I remember. I thought they legit said he started to take it but stopped when he realized his symptoms had disappeared. (Temporarily of course)
@@babahabat Yeah, it was specified that he was only supposed to take the medicine once symptoms appeared, but symptoms only appeared the day the Androids arrived. I think they even mention they think the virus just never came this time, so they didn't bother bringing the bottle
I would say at this point in the series Vegeta is very much still a bad guy. He just doesn't have a reason to destroy the Earth or kill any of the main characters. But he absolutely does not care about his family or human life yet
Vegeta doesn't become an actual good guy until the Buu saga. Until then, he's the token evil team member.
Well... I mean... my favourite Vegeta Pose happens after he murders a few 100 people... sooo.... yeah, still a bad guy ^^
@@Celestia282 he dabbled in a little bit of good guyary at the end of the Cell Saga, mostly due to interacting with Future Trunks
@@Celestia282 He is like 75% good after Cell saga, at least. It's just that he has that big Kakarot stick up his ass still.
@@LiquidusSnakeXI'd say 75% by the beginning of Buu, but definitely not right after the Cell saga, he's still got a lot more hangups
Every time they bring Vegeta back up above the line... they make him such a friggin badass... Lani's Vegeta is iconic as hell, and I'm always here for it.
Oh yes, Vegeta really shines in this episode, both figuratively and literally. Also Goku's little "thanks best buddy" while he's been kicked by Vegeta is just hilarious.
Also hilarious that they do this again in DB Super
I don't get why some people need to ask that question like, "you have had sex, right?"
Like that question is always so fking uncomfortable regardless if you've had sex or not.
Hell, it's uncomfortable just being in the same room, or hearing someone ask question over a video
Yeah it made the reaction a bit awkward
Agreed. Maybe I'm misreading their friendship dynamic but as a newcomer to the channel that felt a little too close to bullying rather than light ribbing
@TimChaos5 yeah i was thinking the same, i just started watching their stuff
The Super Sayajin transformation, at least at this point in the series, always seemed to be activated by anger, like when Goku raged out when Freiza killed Krillin, so I always liked to think that the reason Vegeta had such a hard time accomplishing it was because being angry at everything all the time was _already_ his default state.
It still angee/emotion that unlocks it in super but well only for the Uni 7 saiyans not the 6th
Guerrero went so hard as Dr. Gero. He really didn't have to, but I'm so glad he did.
Yamcha getting scolded for "not saying anything sooner" is one of the few continuity errors in the abridged series. He literally told Krillin, and Krillin acted like that never happened, despite making another joke in the same tone as when Yamcha told him...
I think that was less of a plot hole and more so Krillin trying to shift the blame of also not sharing and gaslighting Yamcha into thinking he fucked up
5:01 That repeated "Mine" line came back from season 2 lol. Also, love that Vegeta messes around with 19 until he went out with a 'Bang'. Or in this case, a 'Big Bang.'
SENZU BEAN!!!
Man, Ruff seems to reeeeally care where HMan puts his ding dong. Watch out Bree, you might have some competition.
It's a obession that or he just a azzzzz
the awkward moment of ruff asking if hman is a virgin or not
Right, we already know the answer
4:02
I assume it healed any damaged nerves in and around his heart, thereby making it hurt more.
Fun Fact : most blueberry muffins have NO BLUE BERRIES

Vegeta is the King of one-liners in this season
19 was played by a TTS program.
Vegeta is still far from a "good guy" at this point. He'd still kill or at least maim any of the cast in a heartbeat if they rub him the wrong way. In fact, when Gohan mentions purity of heart in the original source, he literally replies that his heart is pure *evil*. As for the reason for his transformation, from what I remember, he essentially... gave up. Becoming a super saiyan was all that drove him for the full three years, now knowing it was possible, but no matter what he did, he couldn't do it. Only when he resigned himself to the "fact" that he'd never be one and accepted that he wasn't actually better than Goku, and the immense disappointment that came with that, did he finally transform. Oh, and the anime also added an incoming meteor, for extra urgency, I guess.
Don't quote me on this, but I heard the manga doesn't even show him going Super Saiyan, it happens off-screen
The part where vegeta goes super saiyan wasn't shown in the manga. It was an offscreen thing. So it was basically filler but it makes sense how he did it. After goku went super saiyan vegeta was obsessed with it. A line that comes up later on in the original series from goku talks about power coming from a need and not a desire. Vegeta while he was out in space gave up and resigned himself to death and that's when it happened. He transformed because he needed to for survival and not because he wanted it
13:50
Since Trunks is from the future, Vegeta technically went Super Saiyan before Trunks.
that's how I see it too, second to arrive, last to achieve
0:36 INSTAKILL WITH THAT PEG COMMENT LOL
well Gohan learnt to not dodge when videl straddled his face like a wild horse XD
The guy who does android 20/dr gero is the same guy who does Ainz in Overlord. As far as I know it was dbza that got him that role
Cool to know. There are many talented voice actors in dbza so seeing any of them getting proper roles is really neat.
The answer to super Saiyan (I think) is between genuine negative emotion. Either grief (goku) pride (vegeta), wrath etc
As I recall Vegeta in the series went super saiyan because in his training he got himself in way over his head and put himself in a situation where it was do or die, and he nearly died. At his physical and emotional breaking point, he no longer cared about becoming a super saiyan or beating Goku. He just wanted to survive, to get back to earth, back to Bulma, and to his son.
It's funny I think he initially thought that he wasn't becoming a super saiyan because he didn't care about anyone besides himself, that was something that set him apart from Goku, Goku had friends, had family to fight for. So he tried to rectify that by starting a family of his own, but it didn't work, so it was back to just trying harder. And in the end it turned out that his initial plan was right, but he didn't want to believe it. He chose to believe that it was purely an act of his own will.
that is filler iirc.
Uhh, no. He still cared about beating Goku. Him saying "I don't care anymore" is just another way of him throwing a tantrum. Like you said, he is, in many ways at that point, at his limit, yet he couldn't become a Super Saiyan while not only his rival was one, but also this random kid was one too. He was frustrated to no end and he snapped. The training he did, while contributed to his frustration, was not the thing that triggered his SSJ form. Neither is his "love for family" cuz at this point, he doesn't care for anyone other than himself.
9:35 gets even funnier after Big Hero 6 came out. Of course Vegeta wouldn't see the point of Baymax.
That silent look Piccolo gave Gohan spoke volumes 🤣
Although Yamcha wasn't the only one that knew about the energy absorb.
Donald DUCK: "SENZU BEAN!!!"
In case you don't know yet, TFS has been working on scenes from the Buu saga and the first part is already out so once you guys finish this, you have some Buu saga abridged to look forward to!
this is false, they did some bits of the buu saga but they wont be doing the whole thing
@@DavidCerqueiraa I’m saying they are working on “SCENES” from the buu saga which is accurate. Learn to read, twerp
@@DavidCerqueiraahe literally said the same thing. He never claimed they were doing the whole saga.
Random quick scenes from up until the atonement scene.
It feels blue ballsy. Its a nice little way tos we how they'd handle it, but i think everyone would be okay if TFS came back and did just the buu ark but didn't do any of the movies
@@tssf you said "TFS has been working on scenes from the Buu saga" when they only did a couple of them and arent planning on doing it anymore
@@DavidCerqueiraathat's still what happened though
In the og anime, if i remember correctly, Vegeta is training on a planet desperately trying to go super sayian. Then a meteor shower happens on the planet and he basically worn down from his training and fighting off the meteors so he essentially just stops caring about it and resigns himself to die, which triggers his super sayian transformation.
Them saying goodbye galick gun as if he stops using it.
This is one of my favourite abridged episodes. First I though they were gonna ditch 19 because he has praticly no influence on the plot. But they sticked to him, actually made 19 funny and gave Vegeta the biggest comeback possible.
One of my favorite start to finish eps
You'd think Future Bulma would've known Goku would inhale that medicine if it was bacon flavoured
Maybe it's easier to make Goku take the grape-flavoured meds than it would be to stop him from taking all the bacon-flavoured meds to quickly
Imagine if Piccolo and Tien just started laying into Android 20 the second he started talking to them.
Its so funny that I realized that the person who voices Dr. Gero in this is the same guy who voices Ainz Ool Gown in the dub
The self-destruct countdown will always be so badass I love it way more that the og vageta vs 19
Edit: KINGDOM HEARTS REFERENCE YES
You guys also gotta react to not only TFS’s Hellsing Abridged but also their new Buu shorts
I can't wait until the crew gets to the Buu Saga clips TFS did with Totally Not Mark now. Peak Vegeta.
Vegeta is more Vegeta in the abridged version than in the original
Awesome video.
I'm also here for Ruff and Hman 🥵 reactions tbh but Boom and Erick are dope. Love the content
I dont know how many times ive watch dbz let alone dbza but I just realized Dr.Gero to doesnt have eyebrows
It's funny because Tien is right and now Vegeta has Ultra Ego
Vegeta is still not a good guy and no he didn’t give a shit about being a dad either although he did take some pride in his son eventually as we will see. Vegeta punching the ground at that point was on an alien planet and was training in intense conditions until he couldn’t take it anymore not just physically but mentally. He than basically said “I didn’t care anymore, I didn’t care about surpassing kakorot, I didn’t care about being a super saiyan, I didn’t care if I lived or I died, I didn’t care about anything….and then it happened…. I transformed”
Vegetas super saiyan transformation forever undefeated !
This episode is always great Lmao 😂
I like your 12 second intro. Haha
Yoo H Man! I see that alcoholic monster you sipping on lol 👀
Vegeta must have been playing a lot of halo multiplayer
Plug your nose while taking medicine with a flavor you don't like, it works.

My Ringtone since the Borderlands 2 release -> The Heavy- This ain't No Place For No Hero
Pure unadulterated ego huh? Prophetic.
All Hail The Prince of Saiyan's
Senzu Bean 🫘 Barrage
I don't think the manga actually showed how Vegeta became a Super Saiyan
"I love this guy's voice!"
-talks over his voice-
Little did 19 and 20 know, they weren't *dealing* with the average Saiyan warrior.
A joke I'm not sure was obvious; Vegeta said he was a size *19.* And he was fighting Android number...
And the return of a classic joke; Vegeta throwing a dog treat. Seems like he does thst whenever he decapitates his foes...
To become a Super Saiyan the traditional way, one requires a few things:
1. A sufficiently high power level (above 10,000)
2. The Saiyan must be facing a threat that they know, for a fact, they *cannot* defeat at their current power level.
3. They must experience a powerful emotional moment. Such emotions include anger (Krillin dying in front of Goku, and Goku knew he couldn't do anything to save him), despair (Vegeta was ready to give up on ever becoming a Super Saiyan, so as to surpass Kakarot), or sorrow.
4. They refuse to be defeated by the threat at hand (Goku needed to defeat Frieza).
In Vegeta's case against Frieza, he'd given up, so despite his crushing despair at being so brutally outclassed, he couldnt make the jump.
SENZU BEAN!!!
imagine when you see dragon ball super
Overconfident Vegeta is my favorite Vegeta
Notification squad💪🏾😤
As great and funny as TFS's writing is in this episode I kinda miss the original story right at the end of this episode, cause Vegeta's bluff that scares off Gero is legendary!
REACT TO DRAGON BALL Z KAI ABRIDGED EPISODES 1 & 2
super sayan was never a pure heart transformation or anything its triggered by rage nothing more
Okay, so I just checked the episode on an anime website I watch episodes on, and there the Bruce Faulconer OSTs are completely missing, even from the titles of the episodes. I distinctly remember the soundtrack that should've been playing when Vegeta goes Super Saiyan and for the most part there is complete silence, and then the crap-ass original Japanese soundtrack comes in. Ugh. And I can tell by their voices that it's the re-re-re-done, whatever version of the dub, too. Double ugh. Funimation redid a lot of the lines, to be closer to the original, and it's just not as good as their first dub. It was rougher, sure. But, it also sounded more natural. The newer dubs are too...smooth. Couple that with the lines being changed, and it's triple ugh.
I actually burned the whole of DBZ with the Faulconer OSTs and first version of the dub onto dozens of CDs, about a decade ago, but...I don't know if my PC can even read them anymore.
Finally a group that gets the dodge joke
I'm obsessed with this reaction series but their ability to talk over some of the best parts is infuriating. The opening monologue in this episode is some of the best stuff in DBZA and they're talking about muffins.
Yo
TFS has finally put out Buu Saga Abridged
Only a few key scenes, not a whole season.
I don't know why people would like blueberry muffin ... that's just one step away from raisin and nobody likes raisin ... xD
I dont think its pegging if its a guy?
I’ve heard if you do /pin you will get free pin
Ruff has said a couple of times “I wish they did the Buu Saga.” And this past Saturday Totally Not Mark uploaded a video reviewing the Buu Saga that had brand new DBZA clips that have now been put onto compilations. Now I’ve watched the compilation and unfortunately, the new stuff is just alright. There’s a couple of really funny moments but the rest of it just isn’t that great. Certainly not at the standard that the actual DBZA set.
If he’s uncomfortable now, with the sexual jokes, it’s going to be amazing here soon
Yall need to talk yo. Wtf is going on. It's noticeable.
Day 3 for asking to watch Transformers Prime

I’m gonna hafta agree with you there mah man
1:07 Thank you for finally calling bottom right out, he's so weird.
I notice jokes how hard everyone holds back when there's a joke about sex, women, or race. Very PC. Very soy.
Who here remembers when Cellaweon was the only video we got in an entire year.
