Smash's ledges actively hurt the game because game testers rely on them, say "This projectile isn't OP because you can just camp the ledge until time runs out lol", and never bugfix/balance projectiles. or the game in general. Mashpotato Samurai and his team are overhyped, I'll always respect him for accidentally making Melee good though... then again the competitive community did much of the work too

Ledge regrab limits were only added in Smash 4/Ultimate iirc, so Smash 64, Melee, and Brawl had this, and since PM tried to be more like Melee, it also had the unlimited regrabs, which I feel edge hogging and unlimited regrabs aren't a good mechanic.

I play melee, surely this is not too hard to deal with and is a rewarding counterplay experience! Wish me luck in NAS 🙂

To be fair, throwing projectiles is the most basic thing in a fighting game ever. They both have kind of an arc to them but that's the only thing that separates Oblina's move from like a Hadouken from Street Fighter.

The Diddy wasn't the Kirby was camping ledge and not approaching. The person playing Kirby (Chudat) is famous for timing people out and doing thinks that people would call cheesey or just not fun. Also in PM you gain invincibility even on regrabbing ledge that's why he keeps grabbing it.
