Set against a backdrop of Ching/Ming, where two great fighters
conflict and end up in a duel. One (Wong Tao) is a nationalist who
wants to fight for his country against Manchu oppression and restore the Ming dynasty, whilst the other (John Liu) is a wanderer with expert kicking, who is actually a secret agent for the Ming loyalists. After some double crosses the duel joins forces to fight the mighty Manchu Fighter and stop his forces from reaching the Taiwan straits.

@@koachk9042absolutely, I would be fighting my brother for a straight hour after watching these classics. We didn't have the same TV as you guys in America we had to go to the video store and hire them. 3 movies for £3.50 back then in around 88. I had every Bruce Lee movie and all Jackie Chan. All in VHS cassette tape. One movie I watched about 50 times was "five super fighters" great times to be a young lad.

Great movie. I love Wang Tao as he was a great fighter but the reason I love this movie so much is because I am a HUGE fan of John Liu and his leg kicks. LOL. Wang Tao uses his hands and John Liu his legs. What an awesome combination. I'm really grateful that Wu Tang Collection has made many of the old school martial arts films available. This one is especially good quality, some of the others are blurry and a little too dark but even so I am happy to watch them because these bring back memories of my childhood in the 70's & 80's when things seemed a whole lot better.

John Liu legs kung-fu is awesome and he can also use his hands as well, why Wang Tao uses only his hands more to me John Liu is the one who really spice this movie legs and hand kung-fu better combinations.
This movie is dope....this is definitely going on my top 10 list

When you have Wang Tao and John Liu together its hit after hit.When I first saw this movie at the theaters in the late 70’s I went home knowing that I’ve just seen a fantastic movie.All I can say is that this movie is like eating a good meal.
When I was going to the movies in the early 70's when Brue Lee Chinese Connection first came out,that's was the time I started going to the theater to watch them,I said that if I was rich I'll buy my movies. I HAVE OVER 700 CHINESE KUNG FU MOVIES IN DVD AND BLUE RAY. ILOVE CHINESE MOVIES.

Its very difficult to not put this in our top 5 all time Kung Fu Classic. John Liu is just a treat and this is one of Wong Tao's best choreographed films, now we see who created the now infamous "Superman Punch", it is really the "Wang Tao's Punch" its just so flawless. I own this DVD and still here watching it over and over on CZcams haha.

I first seen this tandem Liu Chung Liang and Wang Tao from the movie Invincible Armor when i was a kid that was back in the year 1970s. Im amazed of their kungfu style Liu is great in his leg ang Wang in his hand. The nxt movie weve seen was Southern Fist and Northern Leg. Now thru CZcams i always search and watch their movies and other kungfu movies when was a kid. Thanks Wu Tang Collection.

That kick to Han Ying's head at about 1:15:25 looked like it landed for real!
SIP to the late, great Eagle Han Ying. He made his mark in classic Korean martial arts movies as well as some of the Korean/Hong Kong co-produced movies during that era. .
This one I don't think I remember. I will watch it and see if this is the case!
Top Notch Incredible Great Movie ! Only Hwang Jang Lee could have done as good as Eagle Han did. All the fighting was as fast paced as the story line was. Rare appearance by the woman. 2 sword fighters were dynamic aid for Eagle. Old school & cast was superb. Total winner !

really made Saturdays a fun time back in the 80s. Our locals, like channel 5, 9 and 11 played these.
So many good times watching these with my friends. Their style was,

One of the best Silver Cranes in Kung Fu movies, I can't say he's a fox since his style is Crane's fist. Another is Chama Wu from Eagles Claw, now that is also a good watch and Silver Eagle/ Mantis fist.
I like the Mantis style. I battled the Chinese Hercules to a draw while in HSchool in 1973. LOL
