    So yes! As noted before, gulpers are already a thing in Fallout, but the gulpers here look like axolotls (that have been hybridized with humans). Axolotl are known for their regenerative abilities, so of course the scientists would choose them for radiation survival experimentation. The gulpers that exist naturally in the world are just mutated salamanders. I find it interesting/cool that the axolotl-human ones are also called gulpers, like it’s a blanket term for huge-mouthed salamander creatures.

    The "President of the Government" is named Sorrel Booker, wears a white suit, with a white bowtie. In the early 80's TV show, "The Dukes of Hazzard", the corrupt man that runs Hazzard County, is Boss Hogg. He wears a white suit, with a white bowtie. The name of the actor, that plays Boss Hogg, is Sorrell Booke. I caught this, because I'm a old fart.

    21:02 Oh that poor sweet Summer Child ❤ They showcase a "Low Intelligence" character off very well in this. Also, Maximus is still essentially a child in a man's body; he's been stunted since he was saved by the BoS; there wasn't a proper life or child-raising there. Of course that poor boy would latch on to the comfort, safety, and seeming altruism from these people. His entire life cries out for a semblance of what he can only scarecly remember that is now scarred by the Bombs Dropping in Shady Sands.

    It only occurs to me now (after watching many reactions obsessively) that Cooper actually protected Lucy by not mentioning her to the ‘president.’
    He could have been entirely truthful, told the guy who she was. I mean, maybe the truth wouldn’t be believed, but he could have tried.
    But instead he focused all the attention on himself.

    • @BigCowProductions
      @BigCowProductions Před 14 dny +5

      You're very right! I feel at this point, ESPECIALLY after the Super-Duper Mart with the "Golden rule, Motherf-er" was what really instilled a turning point in The Ghoul to bridge the gap between him and Cooper Howard. That, pogniated by Coop seeing himself sell out in that movie where he shot the guy.
      He also was protecting her, in his own way, during Episode 4, too, when he is taunting her with the water he is drinking. He poors it out in front of her when she asks for a drink, seemingly petulantly and cruely. But the way he scoops the "probably animal pee" water and drinks it before she finally gives in, shows he doesn't care about irradiated water, and wanted her to see that "he is right" and that she should become hardened like him.
      Plus, spoiler-side, he knows Lucy and has investment in her family in a way already, as she is techinally a tie to the old world via her Father.
      The way he just wholeheartedly took the blame shows just what you said, he was protecting her. At the lowest end of caring, he is just paying her back --- she saved him, and he owes her. But, I feel this was an illustration of him getting back to who he used to be. When he flips out and empties the clips in the guys, I think that not only was him retaliating at their disrespect and letting out his anger of being toyed with about his search for his family, I think he also was re-asserting his dominant and violent self TO himself, as he did just like literally altruistically essentially help Lucy.
      This show is amazing!

    • @volourn9764
      @volourn9764 Před 7 dny

      He didnt do it to protect her. He did it ut if arrogance and wasnt scared of the punks threatening him. He literally sold her into capitivity after he had already known who she was. He doesnt care about her. He cares about himself and finding out what happened to his family. That's it. The Ghoul is evil. He's no longer Cooper from pre war. He might get there eventually.

    Sonny, kudos for noticing there not being any children! I watched the show a couple of times and didn't notice that. I'm thinking it was probably due to more logistical reasons than anything plot-wise because there were kids in the classroom during Lucy's intro scene in episode 1 and there was a classroom in vault 4 that was definitely being used. You've probably already watched it, there are a couple of older children in a later episode.
    Kat, you always come come up with great theories! They are always grounded on what you've seen in the show to date. It's all the more impressive because you're coming up with them immediately after watching the episode! Hey guys, I'm new to your channel, & I am liking your reactions to this show. Kat this is the most animated I have seen u.😄 One thing I would like to mention. When Lucy was speaking w/the Overseer for Vault 4, he complained about the surface people. Lucy said something like "If u don't care for them, why do u keep taking them in?" The Overseer's response "Have to, it's in our policy which was written long before me.", or something like that. My theory is that they trapped surface people that wandered into the clinic much like Lucy & Max, & ran experiments on them. The reason I say this is Vault 4 was inhabited mainly by scientists & their families. They needed to get their test subjects from somewhere. Anyway, that's all I had to say.

    Fiduciary Reponsibility is actually a legal requirement for joint stock companies - LLCs, PLCs, Societe Anonymes etc. They have to provide their shareholders with a return on their investment, which means always prioritising profit maximisation over all other considerations, subject only to laws compelling them to ensure employee safety and not poison customers etc., and then only as far as those laws are enforced. It's a function of private property law in general, and has been the case since joint stock companies were invented in the 17th century, starting with famously evil corporations that pioneered colonial conquest like the Dutch East India Company. Since they are owned by shareholders, their only true loyalty and obedience is towards those shareholders and creditors; not God, not morality, not common sense, nor patriotism nor justice.
    My guess about Moldaver had to do with President Tandi of the NCR, just because she was famously long-lived in the lore, and was re-elected for 11 terms without much apparent aging. But yeah, otherwise getting cryo-frozen like in FO4 is an option.

    The cock explode thing is a reference to Maximus being a "Low INT" character. Fallout is replete with "Low INT" runs where the dialogue options are just ludicrous and hilarious.
    But in a more in-show reason, Maximus is shown to us through Thaddeus as being the *newest* member of the Brotherhood, who was being beaten and hazed by Thaddeus, the previous low end on the totem pole. He was saved when he was but a child, and the Knights are meant to be chaste. We know guys pleasure themselves in the barracks, so it's not like EVERYONE in the brotherhood views ejaculation the same as Maximus.
    But it's easy to see that people he would look up to, given their authority in the BoS, would be able to lie to him and get him to believe silly things about sex.

      @@felipeaquitralHahaha They aren't great for a 'proper' playthrough, but are very fun to mess with! What I love is how what people will say will change for you being dumb. Like, they'll explain a whole quest and stuff (more in 3 and up) but like in a super childish way to accommodate you hahahaha. The best is the few times they give you a character who speaks with you in high English, and you also get competent lines, because you're both stupid and can communciate adroitly with each other LOL

    And don't sweat too much on the spoiler police, guys. There're always a few people that'll give you grief for saying that the sky is blue, claiming you just spoiled the show for somebody.
    Now I'm getting very interested on your recations to episode 7.

      No, she was a respected scientist and was targeted by Vault-Tec. Remember, she said they started buying up every company she ever worked for. It's most likely she was given a cryotank because her scientific achievements made her worthy of management after the bombings.

      Cloning would be interesting, but I believe they give away what the real method is during the outro credits scene on Episode 8; she was in a Cryo Chamber within the Lucky Tops Casino I think it is called. They show a broken billboard showing the advertisement for the cryo pods, and this was not in the games but is new lore. So I'm pretty sure that's the case.
      Maybe she worked with Mr. House against Vault-Tec, or just found her way into the pods in New Vegas around when things went down etc.

    One thing to point out is that vaults didnt use fusion cores like those used in power armour, they had huge reactors. So thats a mistake between the show and the games.

    • @rubenlopez3364
      @rubenlopez3364 Před 14 dny +3

      I considered it to be a hybrid of the OG Vault reactor and how in Fallout 4 theres the Fusion Generators you find but a lot of Vaults could've been made differently especially since they were built at different times bu different companies sometimes over the 10 years before the war

    • @eraldorh
      @eraldorh Před 14 dny

      @@rubenlopez3364 You couldnt possibly run an entire vault on a single fusion core. They just arent that powerful. The US army used to go through tons of them for each t45 power armour during operation anchorage. If a power armour goes through that many then you could run something as big as a vault on a single fusion core even with a huge supply of them they would be replaced every hour assuming they could output enough power to even work at all. Also as i said it simply doesnt exist that way in the games. They screwed up the writing there.

    • @CuddleCakez
      @CuddleCakez Před 14 dny +1

      Is there a terminal or something about the cores running empty at anchoring for each individual set of power armour? I thought it was pretty obvious that the drain rate in 4 was purely for gameplay purposes and they could last centuries.

    These people in 4 are the good guys, the scientist's ran the vault originally until their test subjects revolted and overthrew them, they then took over the running of the vault using it for good despite there own man made deformities', taking in people from Shady Sands for example, level 12 is a closed off area where they seem to be preserving the remaining subjects rather than doing further experiments.
