- The Asics Trabuco Max 3 is a trail shoe designed for cushioning and comfort when heading off-road. That’s mainly due to the thick stack of FFBlast Plus midsole foam - the same used in many of the brand’s cushioned road shoes - to provide a soft yet responsive feel.
There’s also a generous layer of ASICSGRIP outsole rubber to tackle tricky terrain and wet weather, as well as provide protection for the midsole foam to ensure durability.
Tom has been testing the shoe out to see if it's worth considering as your next trail shoe.

Ive got the 2s which are exactly the same but a material change to the upper. 300 miles in mine, great shoe. Bulelt proof. Still looks brand new. Not the best on roads/ tarmac. Its got that gravel tyre kind of feeling to it on the road. Nice little rocker in it. Definitely for 50k plus mile ultras
I actually think its extremely good on tarmac, the cushioning really comes into its own
I have the ASICS Trabuco Max 2 and it is fantastic shoes and i use them alot for all running specially road running and my feet never feel tired
I recently picked up the 2’s in my usual 10 and wished I had sized up as they run small for me.
That’s some serious mud 😮
I have 100 miles on the gel Trabuco 11 that I got on sale for under £100 they are similar and thinking of getting them up to 200 on the NRC app along the Cotswold way near where I live in cheltenham. Some people drive out to the woods for 20 mins every other day .I am still using the inov8 270 in the muddy trails but they don’t have the foam that the ASICS have that will take me into summer weather and then just nb rebel territory. The third trail shoe I want to take to 200 is the Nike wild horse 8 the tread pattern is better than the ASICS .Once got to the last few levels on the run app if it would be good to switch to strava.Your review was good.
How are you getting these so clean/fresh looking post run? 😮
I have the 2s look similar. What is the new upper like
Is it FF blast + or FF blast + eco, as in Novablast 3's? Thanks!
Another great video
Would you go for this or max 2 or trabuco 12
Need to get a new pair as my hoka mafate give me hot spots
I have ordered Trabuco 12, have you experienced them yet? If yes, any reviews...
I have the max 2 as they were in the outlet sale for £89
Couldn’t pay an extra £30 for the trabuco 12
How do these compare to the 2's ?
Second! And i got Trabuco Max 2`s… love em. They feel like a truck, but can still handle most scenarios, and are comfy just for walking. Not the best on tarmac though when running… Used them for winter running here in finland

Are you from the Black Country. Is that why you talk like that?
