You didn’t point out that there’s cams for these engines and upgraded valves with cam gears, plus I wouldn’t consider bumper accessories and eyelids modifications

I bought mine been a dream car amd found a 2011 GT with 25K miles in Cali but hopping to make a great car out of it. It definitely is a fun car and like you said it's not around to much to stand out and have some uniqueness.

Restoring my 06 gs thats been sitting since 2019. Paint faded from sitting out in texas heat for years but nothing that cant be fixed. So excited to get her running again and get some mods added!

So I joined Club4g, it's helped alot. Been with my eclipse now 4 years.
Forgot about the awd conversions and turbo kits for the GS.
I got my 07 gs 4cyl with 20k miles on it and it's treated me well...over the years, I've put the front fangs, rear spoiler, slotted rotors and new rims, rear and front lights and a back bumper body kit on it. It looks great...I think the cold air intake and exhaust is next. I've done enough cosmetic stuff, time for a bit of performance
You'll love how the sound changes itsgets louder and better with an exhaust and intake! And it must look amazing
I'd say if you got a gt and you wanna do headers/intercoolers/turbo get the 5k kit, do it all at once.

I've got a 2007 GS (i4) that I'm putting a turbo in I have everything for it and I'm going to be starting it this week. I'm hoping to push 250 to the wheels on a conservative tune until I build an engine for high boost

I have an 09 GT 6 speed and I’m trying to find a dual exhaust but I can’t find any sadly but single exhausts on the market unless they can combined to make dual if I purchase another one. Idk
Yea idk much about that my bad bro, I'm guessing but you might be able to buy 2 RRE axleback exhausts assuming your 2009 exhausts are both the same size for fitment with the single exhausts, you might be able to replace both your exhausts axleback it's on autocityimports.com but maybe do some research on the 4gforums to see if anyone has better advice
If you do decide on the headlights I hope you make a video about it. I was looking into them last year but seemed a lot of people had issues with the specific ones I was looking at. I settled instead for a LED headlight conversion which made them brighter and more white than the stock yellow-ish ones, though it looks the same during the day.
Which headlights did people have issues with ? I was looking at the ones from autocityimports.com, I will make a video when I get them. I just bought a catalytic converter for my 4g so no money for it at the moment tho
@@4gmce I think those look good. If I recall correctly, I think the issues I'd seen were from another company whose projector headlights used factory halogens instead of upgrading to HIDs and had multiple people complaining about condensation in multiple units. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the ACI ones work for you, HIDs are where it's at.

@@4gmce As an update, I think ACI's headlights are the same exact thing as Spec-D headlights. Both split the factory single bulb into separate high/low H1 halogen bulbs. For both you can convert the halogens to HID or LED, but from what I've been reading HIDs should only be used for the lows due to heat. I'm debating sticking to Amazon and picking up some bright H1 LEDs and the Spec-D headlights in the jet black with clear lens option. It seems smoked lenses deteriorate and look bad when it happens. The leaking/condensation issues some people have mentioned should be addressable via a close look and possibly hitting the edges in silicon once received.
Also worth mentioning if going with the ACI's, it looks like coupon code 15OFF would knock $15 off, which would help combat the shipping.
I have a gs and the head lights are automatic (always on) I wanna murder out my car and be able to cut the lights, do the eyelids help on that?
No you'll still see the all day running lights with the eyelids, you can probably disconnect something to stop them from being on all the time but I'm not sure how
I'm thinking about a carbon hood for mine. Anywhere still sell them?

You can get a tune for your cars ecu yea it's a performance mod
I use a Sawyer ST10!!!!!... performance chip....35 hp!!!... one of my mods on a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS...can't put headers on.. have to go through emissions test...but have a Momo racing steering wheel...DC Sports...CAI...cut out fog lights...put thick nice grill in it... so it sucks in air....Magna Flow 14829 street series muffler!!!.....spec-D headlights...
taillights...tinted...with..Led

Led lights.... when door opens...shows Mitsubishi... sign on ground...had head liner put in brand new. Drivers side... seat ... fixed up..

That's the only turbo kit I know of that you can just buy like that, idk much else sadly
FYI, the alternator went out on my 2006 GT yesterday @ 170k miles. I really don't see the point of pointing a turbo on a FWD car that already has 260+ HP & Torque. Now if there was a good RWD conversion kit to go with it I would be all in.
Sucks to hear about the alternator bro are you gonna get it fixed?... and yea this car gets bad torque steer while stock can't imagine it with a turbo
@@4gmce I will definitely get it fixed as there are no good cars available to replace it right now. My preference is to keep it as my daily driver until I die but rent a car for long out of town trips. Hopefully the rental market will return to normal soon. I've kept the maintenance up on it to keep it as reliable as possible but you can't beat the second law of thermodynamics. I put my 3rd new timing belt on it about 2 years ago.
I also want to keep it as a daily for as long as possible!
@@bigfoot2575 if you have the money and space... there's a video of a Russian guy who made his all wheel drive then to rear wheel drive and he goes in on what you need and what he used, I believe he swapped the rear suspension with that of another Mitsubishi SUV, that I think he got at a junk yard.
That's why I swapped mine to AWD
Hey man. Did you ever hear of A Mitsubishi Starion? You can still get some parts for it. It's pretty rare. I think us 4g people are safe for a while. It also looks like people In other countries trick them out from what I've seen.
I know very little of that car but they do look awesome! And the only part I can't find rn is a CARB legal catalytic converter can't find one rn lol

My car cant get the smog check without the oem catalytic converter cause CA says so
Chrysler conquest was pretty much identical car. Parts were interchangeable.
hello, im from oregon an was wondering if there anyone in the 4 gen community that could help me with my car? i have a issue with the rear bank on the head. like a scratching sound like there no oil in the top of the head. replaced an put oil in it already.
I sadly do not know what that problem is.. did you try club4g.org ? Thats where I go when I don't know what's wrong with the car and was able to find the problems I've had.

After 15 mins of searching I found on club4g.org I stumbled on this (copy and past from webiste)
Try unhooking the vacuum line that connects to the solenoid, you'll hear the source of the noise even more clearly. It opens and closes the intake port very rapidly, so what you're hearing is the "vacuum pump" cycling on and off. If you put your finger on the open port, you will stop the noise.
I still haven't figured out all the details of the system, which is very fascinating to me. But what I do know is that the valve shouldn't be coming on during idle. So there is either an EVAP leak, or a sensor problem.

I wish and it’s only for the V6. 4cyl have to go custom all the way, sad how this engine was literally better than the 64 and 63 yet aftermarket boosting is non existent. i honestly love the 4g community but this learning about turbo science for your own $3k turbo build custom is just not it.

I've only seen the afro car guys 4g eclipse which used a 350z body kit but was modified to fit the 4g.

How reliable is this car now though?
I'd say very reliable mines almost on 200k miles with only my radiator went out that's the only things that's gone wrong with mine till the catalytic converter this year lol, still running stong tho

@@4gmce wow you have a rare then 😂 these cars I've heard are not reliable at all it's what made me stay clear of getting one which I'm glad I didn't because I ended up with a G35 for awhile now but got rid of that awhile go for a commuter now looking for another coupe to play with might be Genesis or G37
Idk the people I've talked to seem to also have a pretty reliable eclipse but it also depends on how the car is taken care of, g35 was still the more reliable way to go

They don't really make it for the eclipse but the Nissan 350z rocket bunny kit will fit with a little work and the Toyota brz rocket bunny kit will fit to that's what my 4g has on it and the 350z chase mount wing will fit and 350z wheels will fit I got my wheels off a 350z

The depo headlights are garbage. The quality and the orientation of the headlights are not worth it. OEM by a mile.
I haven't tried the depo headlights I've heard both good and bad things
I've gotten those dark headlights and I can confirm they perform really bad. The built in eyelid you see in the picture cuts off all the light showing forward and only lights up about 10 feet in front of you. The high beams are almost worse. Driving at night has become a lot more dangerous. I'm seriously considering putting my stock headlights back in.
