- This duet is from a British TV special from 1960 called "This Is Bobby Darin." What's interesting here is that Darin is using the style he would use a couple of years later on the Earthy album - and the song would certainly have fitted on that compilation. As far as I'm aware, this number isn't available elsewhere on CZcams, and the performance is the only one of Darin singing the song.

Duane Eddy was touring in the UK in the mid 1960s. I was fortunate to go back stage and someone asked him whether he still saw anything of Bobby Darin. He explained that they bump into each other when we are all out shopping with our families in the supermarket. I thought that was a nice touch and reminded us that even rock stars have life outside of the music business.
I loved Bobby Darin singing this and haven't heard it for many years, such a treasured gem in history……. Bobby is the best ever all round entertainer this world has ever seen as far as I am concerned, period……. Right back in Bobby's early career he was this young man with his eyes set toward the future, running for his life with his dreams held tight, knowing his life was to be short, he was the man on a mission…… Bobby achieved all what he set out to do ticking off each of his goals as he went……. What a young genius, a multi-talented entertainer who was the best in the business by far……. Bobby was on a magical ride of his life and he took us all along with him…….. Bobby gave from his heart giving every bit of himself, holding back nothing, singing from the very depths of his heart and soul, plus he moved with soul too……. His wonderful talents were God gifted and he just had to shared them with the entire world……. Bobby has left a huge body of work behind not only in the music business but also his acting career too…… What a true legend, what a legacy he left behind and today the future generations to come have the opportunity enjoy the awesome talents of Bobby Darin, just as his adoring fans have kept doing for all these years……. Bobby Darin is an inspiration to us all, he never give up, never give in, he kept fighting on with determination and courage in his heart and soul right through to the end……… Life is the most precious of all gifts, so live it to the full with joy in your heart for every precious breath of every moment you have………. Thank you, thank you for posting this beautiful song……
REST IN PEACE BOBBY DARIN….. MY FRIEND YOU ARE LOVED & MISSED FOREVER MORE & BEYOND !!!!!!!!
Bobby Darin the voice 50 and 60.king👏🎶🎼🎵🙏🌹🌷🎤.
What a great country rendition from the multi-talented young Bobby Darin. We should have known he could conquer country music when he did "18 Yellow Roses."
Beautiful performance! as ever!
Bobby and Duane, what a treat! Thanks.
Bobby Darin is such an underrated singer
bobby darin ....probably the greatest singer artist ive ever seen
Definitely the GREATEST combination composer, musician (4 instruments), arranger, producer, multi-genre singer, actor (drama and comedy) and impressionist! The most beautiful singer. Ever.
Not to detract from the multi-faceted talent that Darin certainly was, but this version pales by comparison to Jimmie Rodger's version - check for yourself
You guys don’t know Merle Haggard
Absolutely love this video! ❤️
Just a completely at ease and totally natural performer. Love this!
A new yorker boy singing country music! Lovely.

I used to listen to Sonny James sing this song in the 60s. Bobby is good with it, but too slow, in my opinion.
