Mom and Dad were both stationed at Wright-Patt. Remember watching movies in the theater as a kid. Lots of love for my hometown!

Was stationed at Wright-Patterson, met my wife to be at the A&W drive in on Xenia Drive in 1966. We were married in 1967 and lived first at 219 East Xenia Drive and then, after our first son was born, moved to 121 North Maple. I worked part time at the Honda of Fairborn when it was downtown. Was transferred in 1969 to Florida, but we have returned to Ohio once a year to visit family and generally drive around Fairborn to see all the changes and re-visit old memories. We went to the theater to see Gran Prix. Great town to live in and raise a family.

My dad was military, stationed at WPAFB. I was born and raised there until 1972. Dad retired and we moved to southern Ohio. I remember going to A&W to eat. They had the best footlongs and rootbeer in the frosty mugs. Loved it!

Good memories as a former resident of Fairborn, lived near the old deli in Dayton-Yellow springs rd while stationed at the bicycle shop (Old name for Aeronautical Systems Division) at WPAFB 85-89. There was seamstress from Spain who did my uniforms, great lady. Miss the old town feel back then.

Lived there between 1989 - 1994. FHS and WSU years. Stationed there due to my father's air force assigment at WPAFB-FLO. Had so much fun and gathered great memories, great friendships. Have visited the town back in 2007 and had a great flashback. Always enjoyed living there, small, unique, warm, decent town. I'd live there again if I had a chance.
    Greetings from Turkey.

My old home town for a few years in the 60’s. Saw many great flicks at the theater. Loved the town and the people...!

That would be awesome .... imagine the theater back to it's glory and say all of October {since Halloween is our thing} they show so many many many Halloween/Scary movies --- multiple showings (putting a hometown theater in my book that does this) having Movie Marathons --- December so many great Christmas movies could be show.... Great Job ALL -- well I am but this is on Zak's account lol #ComeToFairborn

Best thing about Fairborn wasn’t mentioned... Halloween all year round. Foy’s!
It would be awesome if Fairborn was picked.

It's too bad that we can't get all these former residents to move back. The city would grow to the east towards Yellow Springs (it's working on it) and southeast toward Xenia. Beavercreek stops any growth southward as it considers the township only their domain.

Yes please give Fairborn a make over.. such a little trashy town.. alot of drugs and un kept areas. The theater has been closed for years the city should have done more to keep it open. People don't want to hang out there that could be the issue.

I grewup there from 1956 until 1972. It was a nice place then. Lots of nice memories of my childhood.

Don’t forget the Skyborn Theater and Skyborn Skateland!
Fairborn was an idyllic town in the 1970s and 1980s when I grew up there. If any town in America deserves a rebirth, it’s Fairborn.

Though I'd rather have this done to the old station one on Broad because its more historically significant to the community, I applaud the cities effort to do something positive for our wonderful comminity. Our community deserves a shot in the arm like this.

Stop shopping at big malls, if you still have them, and places like Walmart/Target. The shops will revamp. Owner's of these store fronts need and must be flexible with rent. Also, seek out larger corporations in expensive California, Oregon, Seattle, and New York, by offering tax break's etc... More citizens in Fairborn will have job's.
