- The video pretty much describes everything about this it seems to work pretty good the only thing I forgot to put in the video is on the opposite side from where I was standing there is a three-quarter inch drain with a screw cap on it.
Thanks for this video. I'm tired of paying for a gym membership and saw someone mention one of these in a facebook group. I didn't know how they actually work and this is a big help.
Love this video. :38 seconds in and he's given me ten specs already. I'm sorry , but some videos are still talking about the meaning of life two minutes into the video. I just ordered this unit. Thanks.
Nice! Best thing about that set up is the pump turning off once you turn the tap of at the source & not having to walk away to find a switch to the pump metres away. Best one I’ve seen so far. 🍻 to you
I was walking around our local farm supply store just the other day, came across this tank sprayer & thought, hey I think I just found my camper van shower, but how to start being a dumb girl & all. Sure enough checking utube today found the answers to most my questions. I need to check the amp usage to see if my portable battery pack will work or not. Thanks so much!!!!!
Much cheaper option than other competitors. The water port is beautiful but very expensive.
We always use those bladder bags from Walmart, this is so much better!! If you paint it black and leave it in the son it will be hot in time for a shower at night!
I have done the same thing BUT I used a sprayer from a sink ...Works Great. Cut off built it .
Wile E Coyote, Super Genius! Lol,
I love it, simply brilliant.
Thumbs up. Great idea. Already complete package. I pieced mine out. However I did plumb it to a tankless, propane water heater. 100% off grid. I use it in a 2 room shower tent. One of my best investments. A hot shower when I go to the cold mountains of Colorado in September. I have videos on CZcams (amateur. Big time). I will post more current ones someday.
what model?
Can you post the tankless heater set-up?
The best shower set up I’ve seen this will be a must have if I ever get around to making my van a camper. Question using Hot water in the plastic tank is there any issues with the plastic or the 12 V pump overheating. My hot water heater just died and I have to save up $ for the top-of-the-line model.
I never set it up for hot water... im not sure what the highest temp you could go...I did see something (cant remember where) but you would hook the pump hose into an instant water heater and the other side would goto the shower handle or faucet so the pump never sees hot water.
Awesome demo! Thanks! 😃👍
Nice solution for the task. U may want to try a wider spray water saving head that would give u 6 showers vs 4. Just a thought. 👍
Great video! Where did you get that pump?
Looking real nice! Keep it up!
14 clowns disliked this awesome video. They probably already have a shower in grandma's basement.
10 seconds in and I knew he was from south Louisiana. Good setup
Not sure what gave it away lol...thanks...shower works awesome too!
Do you need a pump I’f you are connecting pressure washer so tank with a hose?
Great ideal.
Suggestion: Dont drink the water that goes through that pump. Its design is high pressure and the seals have lubricates you shouldn't drink.
NorthStar 12 Volt On-Demand RV Potable Water Pump 3.0 GPM is a pump I use for my shower and kitchen when camping. Design is safe to have water go through and drink.
Camp ON!!!!
This unit was made for showers, rinsing off etc. Deffenitly bring drinking water also...as a matter of fact before the shower we used gallon jugs of drinking water and we each used a gallon to shower!!! No that's ruffin it lol
Good job👍
Pick up yourself a bucket heater for hoe water works great but great set up
What part of LA are you from? If I had to guess I’d say Houma to Morgan City? Lol
Lol Morgan City
you can paint black with some plastic paint. if you didn't put very hot water in it it would probably be fine, some rubber seal expert would know the safe range.
Question... is the pump on demand? Ie if you close the valve, will the pump turn off, then turn back on when you open the valve?
That is correct. Best way so that you don’t have to touch an electrical switch with wet hands.
Definitely going to be my next project! Total cost?
It's been a few years but I think around $140 ish. Plus the cost of a 12volt battery (which I already had)
Trying to hook mine up solar with the battery.... ideas?
Great job!
Great idea
Excellent.......
Hey nice review :) I can't find any information for the dimensions of these units. How wide and deep is it?
12ft12v if you haven't yet found the dimensions it's on northerntool.com check out Northstar sprayers
Jason Alheit never used or really heard of northern, I wonder if Harbor freight would have something.
@@MC-hs4mf they might but i would get this one if you hadn't purchased one yet...Very good quality and parts are easy to get from northerntool
@@jodydinger6545 no northern tool here that I know of.
Is there a filter or something to slow the water flow to make the water last longer?
No filter but you can partially close the valve on the shower head to reduce the amount of water coming out.
@@jodydinger6545 Thanks, just ordered the 8 gallon one for my vanlife shower.
Is the pump waterproof? I want to mount it on a roof rack. 👍
Not sure...I'd think so...probably from rain but I wouldn't submerge it.
@@jodydinger6545 Thanks for the reply!
Where do you buy tank and pump? Cost?
C. M. ... I purchased this from northerntool.com I believe it cost approx. $130.00. Works great.
Just bought a Chaplin from Menards. 15 gallon for 90.
So its a cold shower?
Naughty Goat Farm that is correct... unless you pump into some sort of water heater to the shower head or pour warm water into the tank.
Naughty Goat Farm
Pretty cool idea! I was Thinking of using this as a shower but putting a submersible water 1000w heater running off a generator in it to create warm water do you think that would work?
Todd Roberts or rig a rinnai or water heater on demand. Now that I just bought a 2 gallon sprayer and kitchen sprayer I see this video. Using the 2 gallon sprayer and kitchen sprayer rig up, I could heat water on an electric burner, butane burner, fire etc as well as place water throughout the day in something black and allow sun to heat it.
All you need is a small stinger to submerge in the tank to heat the water and you will have nice hot showers. That's what I use to heat mine and it works great. They get the water hot in about 15 minutes but you have to watch closely to make sure you don't make the water too hot or you have to pour some out and add some cold water for showering. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079YZ4RC7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
