Page Scripting Tool in Business Central (Wave 1 - 2024)

Released in the wave 1 update of 2024, the page scripting tool allows users to record acceptance testing scripts. They can then (if required) modify them and re-run them as many times as desired. The video starts off with an introduction to page scripting within Business Central, we then go ahead & create a script which we play back. Finally we force an error on the page scripting tool to observe what an error would look like when testing with the page scripting functionality.

How can we export these scripts? I tried saving and It did not save in the format I wanted. I mean I want the same text written in the right panel. It will not let me copy-paste the text from the page scripting.

Hello & thanks for reaching out! So I don't think you'll be able to copy and paste - just yet! It's early days for this functionality though so watch this space, it may be possible in the future! There are other tools you can use for automated testing (outside of BC)
