You can add animal cruelty to the list why Alex should not get a podium of any kind.
He should have been fired when the first incident with the animal cruelty involving the shark actually happened in between filming season one and two, but with Daddy as one of the producers they quietly shoved it under the rug hoping that Alex would shut up and keep a low prof. With or without him, between the awful casting and the scripted version of unreality, the show is so unbelievable that you have to have an IQ of 10 to think anything on Siesta is real. Do we even mention the awkward and uncomfortable casting this season of more “creepy old men” (not even talking about ish) that are supposed to blend in with the current cast as they stand around drooling. Waiting for further Harvey Weinstein types to appear or Alex’s Daddy to write himself into the show as having an affair with Chloe. Seriously people, pull your heads out of your asses! None of them have the kind of money the show wants people to think they have. The reincarnation of “new” ex girlfriends of regular cast members, keep appearing when on the show weren’t these guys suppose to be dating the girlfriend scripted for him on the show? Example, BJ BP whatever his name is. Out pops some ex he was in love with and dating for two years when on the show he was in love and dating Madison who he cheated on with someone else, not the baby mama who appeared this season. I mean cmon people. Someone needs to do a podcast based on the real REALITY of the cast. Also, what happened to the mother with MS? BJs father? Madison’s anti-ish parents? These real life parents who have real jobs, fled the show for the sake of their sanity, careers and actual families. Ask yourselves this, why does Siesta Key have an everchanging cast of characters with new dramas that they want us to think are so serious we should be more invested in watching their lives instead of using our brains and remembering the storylines from previous seasons. Siesta Key is banks in new viewers who haven’t seen the past seasons or viewers who have brain damage and can’t remember anything that happens further than a week ago. Sit your asses down and torture yourselves with a marathon of Siesta from season 1 to now. The show makes zero sense and has no continuity. Their desperation showed last season when they attempted to pump up ratings by casting Robby along with his social media, as Juliette’s new love of her life. Between Robby forgetting what the heck he was even doing on the show, to viewers asking themselves, Robby? Juliette? IN LOVE? Really? It was a blessing that Alex’s racism was all anyone spoke of at the end of the season. The producers and MTV probably dug the comments Alex made out and called the press on Alex themselves, just so people like me wouldn’t point out the obvious COMPLETE AND TOTAL FAILURE of trying to push a scripted and cast (UN) reality show into further existence. FYI ask any cast member about their NDA. It set a record. For what? Isn’t it obvious? Oh, wait. Of course anyone reading this wouldn’t know obvious if it smacked them in the head as MTV announced Madison can’t get pregnant because Ish had a vasectomy and didn’t want to lose Madison so he never told her. Next season story line, right before the wall down the aisle. No cliffhanger either, Madison tells Ish she loves him and with or without kids, she will marry him. Or....the alternate script...Madison leaves him at the altar...or alternate script 3....Juliette gets pregnant with “unnamed” one night stand and agrees to letting Madison and Ish adopt the baby. The following season will be who was Juliette’s one night stand? Was it racist Alex? Alex’s Daddy aka producer (Weinstein style)? Anyone, high with PTSD from the first 3 seasons of this show can write the scripts for further seasons. The key is, we don’t use our real names and for the love of God, never take writing credit for the piece of shit Siesta Key is. See ya in LA kiddos

There are some black people in the show and Hispanic, where they live and their crowd is probably less diverse. It’s centered around a small group of friends. I’m really shocked to learn this about Alex after seeing him hang around people of color from time to time...

What will you do in 10 years when all these current networks and large media companies are mostly gone? Everyone is canceling subscription and ratings are going to 0. People are now switching to one of millions of choices available on the internet. How will you find the time to complain about millions and millions of things? I stopped watching this show because I couldn't take the way Alex treated his cast members especially the disrespect he have for the women on the show. Bravo should have been let him go. Now on top of all that he's a racist also,, that doesn't surprise me in the least

Yeah people really got to stop bringing up free speech whenever stuff like this occurs. Like you said, it doesn't mean freedom from consequences. For instance, someone could have a boss at their job that they despise and one day they curse him/her out and call him/her pretty much every name in the book. They won't get arrested for it, but they shouldn't expect to keep their job and then try to sue for wrongful termination and actually expect to win that lawsuit using "free speech" as their defense.
This reminds me when people were bringing up free speech during the Roseanne fiasco a couple years ago. Ironically none of her former costars defended her actions and some have even called her out on it.
