I live somewhere in the West and I follow South African politics frequently as a way of keeping in touch with my beloved continent. One thing I have learnt living in the West is the notion of respect for authority and responsibility for one's actions. The interruption of President Zuma while responding to a question was rude, uncalled for, unnecessary, sickening, disrespectful to the democratic process etc. The EFF members need to be aggressive in their mission, but must do so in a dignifying manner. It is only proper to speak after someone has finished speaking...it's simple courtesy and respect. The world is watching South Africa and that type of behaviour is shameful, unafrican and a misunderstanding of what freedom of speech and democracy are.

I think insofar as answering the questions Jacob Zuma did a very good job, and it looks like everyone in the National Assembly was satisfied (even the EFF), and I think if more citizens of the country were to watch parliament proccedings they would truly make informed decisions, instead of hear say from parties like the "DA", which said the president was evading questions, they had no evidence to support their allegations but they still feed the citizens this information all in the name of gaining support, Well done to our president!

Honorable Malema said that the Speaker must treat all the members as equals including the Head of State. Really Honorable Malema? One thing I learnt recently is that treating all equally can be unjust, unfair and a big big mistake. How can a member of parliament be equal to his head of state? Really??? This is the mistake that many Africans make- democracy and freedom of speech does not mean doing or speaking as one wishes....respect must be the watchword in every human beings life...Whether the EFF likes it or not, President Zuma is the Head of State of the Great Republic of South Africa....South Africa at the moment is Africa's only hope, please don't shame us...Africans in the diaspora are dying for a success story in Africa....

Your president brought what to you? E-tolls? Nkandla? SABC? Crime?
Education? Health Care? ESCOM? The POST OFFICE? Water? We have no
infrastructure left and you say that your president added to our lives.
Your president added crime anarchy and total collapse. We have no
reliable delivery of mail, no reliable electricity, no acceptable road
network (even if tolled) - Given that traveling between Johannesburg
and Durban has improved, but traveling inside of Johannesburg and
surrounding is an absolute train smash. Roads other than those tolled
are only fit for 4X4's and tolled roads are so congested that one might
switch off their engines and call it what it is, a camping site.
Forced integration leaves me with no where to go to commune with my own
      fellow whites.
You are a (I rarely swear) fucking idiot and you should be committed to
      an insane asylum.
The scary thing is that an idiot like yourself has the same value when
it comes to voting for a government than I have.
I mentioned water above. Our water purification is a complete shambles.
Have you smelled the effluent discharge in Hartebeespoot-Dam recently.
The sh@t is literally flowing into our catchment areas. Added to this is
that hydrofluoric accid has been detected in our pipelines.
I Know you would not have the cognitive ability to decode any of what
I've just said which brings me to my next point.
This simply shows you that democracy is a failure at it's root, since
it's a simple vessel of communism when applied to an unreasonable voter
      base.
I have one thing to say to you. My vote means no more than yours, that
is why we had apartheid, to keep idiots (and mentally deranged
troglodytes like yourself) from determining the direction of our future.
It has come to this. You have this country... We have had it with
      you....
My aim might be more effective than my vote.

    • @007DaveJ
      @007DaveJ Před 9 lety +2

Yes we need to move forward, but if issues are left unattended and unanswered it gives carte blanche to all & sundry to do as they please and never to be held accountable or even answer for their particular actions. I am extremely tired of the Nkandla issue, however there are serious issues at hand and someone has to take responsibility for the fracas.

African leaders, South Africa included are known for enriching themselves during their terms in presidency corruptly.. its difficult moving forward with out clarity that it was corruption. what would be the use, corruption means will just take precedence going forward and everyone including in NA should just look aside coz no one takes responsibility on corruption. Also it means if the president can ignore the public protector findings why should the people follow. its like wanting to stop police bribes when the authorities at the top are dealing in way bigger bribes!! its sad plenty ppl go hungry in this country everyday yet billions go into corrupt individuals pockets every year... where do you start to move forward

WTF???? Soooo....you think that the president...the guy who decides the direction our country takes...Should be allowed to steal, lie and cheat the system? He should not be punished for stealing? This is how the corruption in our country spreads, it spreads to the rest of our government. Right now our country is bleeding BILLIONS on corruption and corrupt projects like E-tolls, corrupt corporate business practices and Nkandla.
These are BILLIONS we could be investing in our country and economy and the people, but no, we create political millionaires with nepotistic crony business. You want to move forward, this needs to stop.
Secondly the ANC is directly corrupting South Africa's democratic systems, they are spying on the people, they are interfering with the practices of parliament, subverting the media...this is the direction our country is taking right now. This whole fight in Parliament is the opposition parties standing up for US the ordinary South African.

Is this a case of Baleka Mbete, the speaker not knowing all the rules and is selective in implementing certain rules in an attempt to protect Zuma or is this case of Baleka Mbete not having an ounce of objectivity? S.A is in serious sh!t either way.

And it is fine when the opposition parties disregard the authority of the speaker and the rules of parliament, but when Zuma does it, it is wrong, and at least he had a good explanation for him continuing to give the answer he was asked and he did apologise in the end, lets not let our emotions cloud our judgement...

    • @007DaveJ
      @007DaveJ Před 9 lety +2

thokozani mbambo Your judgement is clearly clouded. Out of an entire 3 & a half hour video, you make reference to what Zuma said. Did I make mention of what Zuma said, or did I refer to Baleka Mbete & the parliamentary rules she spat out, which obviously had no substance and did not justify her reasoning for saying what she did, with particular reference to her reasons why the continuation of questions to Zuma re: Nkandla could not continue? The rules that she so clearly referred to were very easily annulled by the referral of a number of other rules by the opposition party's. But as ANC lacky one couldn't expect anything less from you. It's clear...... objectivity & judgement are ideas you like to throw around but are selective as to when they are applied.

Still from today I cant believe that Jacob Zuma is the President of this country of ours, and why do people refer to him as honorable? there's nothing honorable about the man himself. He has been through immense humiliation in his presidency serving term, he has misused all that we stand for in this country and is killing the legacy that my honorable former president fought for. Nelson Mandela is not even smiling from heaven right now, as he sees the ANC he fought for is being tarnished into the pigs mud, and then poor Zuma stands there and laughs at everyone he pleases like he's at a circus. That is not the kind of person I call a leader. Zuma keeps on saying and speculating that his government is doing very good in working for its people, but that is all just a hallucination for them to benefit even more out of the citizens of this country. While we the citizens of this country know very well that our situations are taking a downfall in society of living, If we don't vote Zuma off the presidency........we will rot in despair and we will reap what he sowed. I don't want to say anymore but I'm just saying the 50% of this country is not voting for a weak party like the ANC, that just wants to keep on protecting one man, rather than working for their voters and the citizens of this country.
What I can say is CHANGE IS ON THE WAY, AND WE WILL BE GLAD THAT, THAT CHANGE IS HERE TO STAY!
I'M PROUDLY DA, because I want a better future for myself and the whole of South Africa.
And I know that Helen Zille is going to become the first and most Honorable First Lady of this country, as our Madam President. HOLD ON CHANGE IS COMING!!!!
JUST AS JESUS SAID TO HIS DISCIPLES, that he will return to this earth to rule over.
I have faith in my DA and what it stands for!!!

To your initial question, the one lie in particular that I am referring to is when President Zuma claims that he did not hear Madame Mbete when she requested him to take his seat in order for her to recognize another member. After denying/lying that he had not heard he, he continued to laugh it off as he new he would not be reprimanded for that lie.
