    Although I'm very mixed about Clones not shooting to kill Storm troopers, it kinda makes sense
    1. They were Republic civilians at one point. These clones fought for them. It would be weird for them to switch to kill the same people they fought to protect. Remember back to Howzer.
    2. Shooting to stun instead of kill doesn't put the clones on the Empire's radar. They don't need more heat than they already have. Imagine a squad of troopers killed 100-200 storm troopers constantly. That would bring the likes of Vader to see to it personally that it ends.

    @Juggsle Před 3 měsíci +18

    I partly think the reason why some clones stun is because they see each other as living, breathing soldiers, not battle droids that can be turned off. The Clones were betrayed by the Empire, by their brothers over someone else's command, one they couldn't disobey otherwise they be executed for treason. The clones have seen so much war and aged so much that they can't help but respect other soldiers even if they're not clones. They certainly still Don't think too highly of them that's for sure but that isn't enough to kill a fellow soldier who's just following orders.
    "Good soldiers follow orders" is still a valid statement, the only problem with the phrase is who's giving the orders and every single clone has had that end of the stick.

      It’s not realistic or logical, especially given how ruthless the clones were during the Clone Wars. And the show wasn’t meant to be exclusively for children, but for all audiences. And this has nothing to do with politics, simply stupid to dumb down the violence when the hood guys do it. In the real world, no one “shoots to stun”. It’s a cold world, and children should learn that so they don’t grow up to be soft entitled brats like the current generations.

    Another comment pointed it out. This show feels like star wars rebels but just skinned with the clone wars art style. Not shooting to kill? It feels out of character for the clones, especially since they had no qualms about killing Umbarans. Faceless tk-troopers? Nope shoot to shock. It might just be me but it takes me out of the show when these hardened veterans jarringly go to a “no kill” policy because the Disney target audience is children. It makes me appreciate the original clone wars series because it had balls to treat its audience (children) with maturity on what a “star war” could plausibly look like.

      The clones don't see themselves at war. Their task was to liberate the prisoners, not ruthlessly kill the new troops. That would draw too much heat on them if they appear as rogues killing recruits. At least that is how the Empire would see it as rather than rogues freeing their kind.
