Valentina Holl is such a beast. Well done to all the riders, but I wish Rob Warner was on the mic bringing all his passion and verve to the commentary. The last woman down the hill, the world champion, winning by a mere five hundredths of a second having been behind at the intermediate split, would have had Warner going frankly apeshit. No disrespect to Ric but without that infectious excitement the coverage feels two-dimensional compared.
This sucks a sweaty one. Bring back Redbull and Warner and Elliot.

Sure is good they included those satellite images as part of the winning run. The outer space perspective is always key to comprehending the skill and subtlety applied on the track. There must be monkeys in the production booth or something. Bring back RedBull and do something positive for the sport.

What I feel is really annoying is, that this channel doesn’t communicate with the community at all. I was willing and hopting to watch and of course, pay for everything shown. I was so keen for the first race of the season. There is some new elements that are quite cool as well. For example the riders and the rigs shown before each run. The biggest problem was: Eurosport 1 and 2 in Switzerland (the only Eurosport channels I know here) didn’t show any live coverage in their program forecast. Not on their website, not in the app. These were the official channels listed by the UCI though. So I didn’t even see the race in the actual program. So why get a subscription for it. There is no point for that. I was able to watch the women (in Switzerland) live on the channel «l’équipe». But this wasn’t communicated anywhere. So I am quite confused and still dont’t know, where to watch the next race with a guarantee, there will be live coverage. So please «WHOOP/UCI», bring so light into the dark. Such a great community, such incompetent communication of the officials for now. I hope it gets better in the future.

What a waste of time the woman at the start is, what is she supposed to bring to the show? UCI are screwing downhill coverage.
I don’t want to be mean, but Valentina got her time and win in the fast smooth no-brakes section at the end… due to gravity… the more weight, the faster you’ll be in that section. 🤷🏻
I'm not saying you don't have a point, but at the same time when you see Jackson Goldstone blitzing guys twice his weight then it shows there is more to it
@@zingrock I’m not saying she’s not good. She’s very good. But in the last part of that race, there is not much you can do. Every rider goes flat out and pedaling. So weight here was a bid advantage. As for Goldstone, the kid is pure talent, too bad we couldn’t see him running this race.
