So cute how Jason thinks of Avery. He gives her a chance to speak first. Wonderful guy!

IT's weird how they somehow omitted the sexual aspect of it all. Was he really just "pure" kidnapper?

True this aspect would be rlly interesting

@@asmr5arah disturbing, actually. I think the director chose to focus on the internal struggles of the victim and her family instead of lurid details. I agree with that to some extent but I think she went a tad overboard with the omission that it somehow feels like something was amiss. It got a little distracting throughout the film, not to mention the mother's unraveling. That made no sense to me.

@@theultimatecatloverchannel9432 well yeah I meant interesting in a negative way like disturbing and not like positive. But yes I agree with that something felt that it is missing. But still I could also understand the development of the mother. Hahaha I'm not saying I'm psycho but otherwise we have the same view. I wasn't sure how to think about the film because I only read positive things about it. I thought the idea had great potential but they didn't exploited it enough and I'm glad we have similar opinions (idk if you can understand this, this is not my first language :))

Michael Muldowney I admire her so much for putting on weight to play Eilis in Brooklyn...she didn’t even say anything to the media about it

@@katecrimson2730 I thought it was just a coincidence... because she moved out of her place around that time (so probably was eating differently), and told someone in an interview that her mom was feeding her so much food everytime she went back home she had a discussion about the portions. lol She was plump in 4 films... The Seagull, Brooklyn, Lost River and Stockholm. Then she moved to NYC for THe Crucible and lost all the weight but acne started poppping on her face. She's super cool and a wonderful actress and I think she's very pretty.
