I’d love to see you review that! I’m no expert, a DIY like most of us, but I think the consistency of the gel and acetone ratio is why it didn’t work. It was just too watery. Can’t wait to see the video ♥️

Me right now, I just did polygel over nail tip for the first time and tried the French technique with it...IT WAS SO HARD AND FOR WHAT??? MY NAILS LOOK LIKE meh....buuuuttt I did come up with a really pretty light blue and gold mix omg it's sooo pretty

Airbrushing nail art was HUUUGE in the 90s & very early 2000s. French manicures used to be airbrushed more often than the traditional way. All kinds of stencils were used...colors....white....it would be cool to see it come back.

Seriously! I am happy that footage was kept in the video because that's part of the nail world which is typically left out. Its helpful to see the nails when they're not prettied-up too.

Oh my gosh I remember when they used to do airbrushing like Wayback in the day. I am a nail tech and I got my license in 94. An airbrush she was like this new thing it was amazing. LOL
My aunts been doing airbrush on nails for almost 30 years. Her tip to me was to practice in a color book to get your distance and spray down.

You persevered long after I would have. I’d have had a temper tantrum after I got polish all over my hand lol. Wonder if you can cut the stencil into smaller pieces so that it’s easier to clip it snug around your finger? You look gorgeous as always, that green eyeshadow look is stunning!

I've been doing nails professionally for 20 years and I just recently bought an airbrush. It took me HOURS messing with it before I even kind of got the hang of it! I hope you've kept trying and got it figured out. For me the hardest part is keeping it unclogged. Ugh! Great video lady. Your nails looked fabulous!

I suggest using liquid latex around the nails and using decals that adhere to the nail instead of the right plastic stencils. Also, do some tests to see which ratio to use as a default when mixing polish:acetone. Then you can change it depending on if you need it thinner or need more pigment, but it's always good to have a starting place
I remember back in late 90s early 2000s when airbrush nails was so popular. I loved when my nail tech did all the cool airbrush designs.

Don't give up! You can use contact paper or Cricuit stencil vinyl to make stencils. Use liquid acrylic paint instead of polish. You got this!

you have to push down on the trigger and then pull back towards yourself. When you’re just pushing down it is just blowing out air which is normal it will not let out the color until you push it down and pull it back.
You saved that set! Crystals are a set saver for me too!
Tip on the stencil there's a spray adhesive that you can get to hold it down temporarily its tacky it won't glue it down permanently
When it comes to air brushing you can you acrylic paint (like art paint). Much easier and doesn’t clog my airbrush. Easy clean up too!

I remember air brush used to be a popular way to get ur nails done in the 90’s. I still remember getting the French tip then my fave dark blue nails with a baby blue tiger stripe they were💣💣💣! If you can perfect the technique there’s endless options ❤️❤️❤️
Hey, if you ever have an event and have like one nail that needs healing but don’t want to go out with a missing nail, they have these nail press on stickers on amazon, that hold well but come off with warm water easily. So you could use it for the event or occasion then go home soak in warm water and get back to letting that nail heal. Just an idea, because I thought they were exciting upon discovery and their perfect for one time or short time uses. You did great 😊 and brought back memories of cheaper yet stylish nail designs , I remember getting a few done 15 years ago back in New York City , the Asian nail techs used stick on stencils before spraying and sealed with a gel top coat ,my fave were the spade ♠️ shapes on red and white nails and butterflies on pink nails ,you were lucky to check other nail salons to see if they had characters like Mickey Mouse and they are buildable designs !

THANK YOU !! I was about to give up on learning the basics of just using an air brush. Every video is about ombre or other fancy "easy" techniques. All I wanted to learn was how to turn one ON and make polish come out of it !! I've been doing my own acrylics for years and make all my own colors. Airbrushing seems like a natural next step.
You can do it. It just takes patience and practice. I taught myself with just the acrylic paint. But now I want to learn how to airbrush with gel polish. Thank you for sharing

You still got it! You did an amazing job on that acrylic ombré. I only use air brush paint in my air gun. I found it was a lot of cleaning and care, so I don’t pull it out much. It takes a load of time and practice. Use of the stencils really takes an imagination, watch a lot of air brush nail art videos. The only thing I’ve accomplished is the French fade/ ombré. Thanks for sharing & good luck.😊

Hello… The stencil MUST fit perfectly on the nail. If there’s any portion of misfit, you will have faded or misshapen looks!!! I will purchase this for sure. I have the Big airbrush system and THIS ONE would make this so much easier because the entire system is in your hand. Also, airbrush paints are the BEST!!! They are Drop and spray…simple!! Keep working on it Evie and others. As the saying goes, “ it’s ALLLLLLLLLLLL in the wrist”. In this case, “it’s ALLLLLLLLLLLL in the index finger. #ControllingTheFingerIsEVERYTHING
