I love watching these and I'm not even from America but I watch them to learn about what the Americans use during severe weather or a nuclear attack Greetings from Britain
Rule of thumb: Ohio is like no man’s land for weather. We can get almost everything except hurricanes. Heavy snow, flooding, tornadoes, hailstorms, drought like conditions, we have it all
Welcome back bro! I'm planning to make an Easter EAS Scenario and a Hurricane one, since I watched a video about Hurricanes today in Earth & Space Science.
Great video! I was expecting the power plant to explode earlier when the tornado warning happened! With how storms are here, it seems impossible that this could ever happen but there's always a chance which is the scary part. There was a tornado in 1953 that killed 9 people in the Cleveland area and destroyed/damaged 2000 homes. It could definitely happen again.
Cleveland Weather & EAS there was also the tornado outbreak on May 31, 1985, where there was an F5 tornado that went through Newton Falls, Niles, Hubbard, and Wheatland, PA.
Hypothetical meltdown from the tornado, step by step (inspired by the Fukushima accident): 1. The tornado knocks of the power grid 2. Following this the EDG’s (Emergency Diesel Generators) would power on automatically and the reactor would automatically SCRAM, inserting all control rods shutting it down 3. The tornado would somehow damage the EDG’s knocking out power again 4. Coolant pumps would shutdown due to the lack of power, emergency cooling would not work 5. The water would boil off and the fuel would heat back up due to decay heat and would begin to melt after the water boils off 6. The fuel rod cladding would release hydrogen gas as it melts from the fuel 7. Somehow oxygen is introduced, either from the fuel melting through the vessel or from steam pressure rupturing the vessel or a relief valve letting in oxygen 8. With oxygen, hydrogen and extreme heat, the reactor explodes
I've been waiting so long for another video. I'm glad that there is another half-hour video like the OK/AR weather disater! keep up this good work my friend!
haha funny thing, a few days after you posted this video, the weather here in columbus went completely insane. you cursed us. also i heard this exact voice on the tv upstairs during an eas for our tornado warning and they said the exact words said at 9:27 in this video.
Love your stuff. I usually end up crying while watching any of your content. (Even demon Santa) That just shows that there is some extreme quality here my friend. :)
I have a 160 GB HDD; I know what it is like to have next to no HDD space remaining due to something eating away at it like Pac-Pac-Pac-Man eats pellets. lol
Hi there! I love your EAS scenarios and all that but could you please make the font ModeNine, add more screens, add scrolling texts, when the alert is like EAN instead of saying issued a emergency blah blah blah put issued an emergency blah blah blah and also change Issued A go issued a. Also how do you make the EAS scenarios?
I am not afraid of the EAS Alert Tone at all not even for the Nuclear scenarios. I get a big kick out of it for some reason. The air raid siren however does scare me mostly when they go off at night. I have not hear our sirens around here. They are the old Yellow ones from the Cold War.
I had a dream last night where i was here in mexico and in this part of mexico there is NO tornadoes and then i just randomly look outside and there is 10 tornadoes. Wierdest dream of my life
Damn- I have family in Wooster. I also work out of Columbiana- just south of Youngstown, so I guess I don't have a job anymore plus I just lost several of my cousins.
Great. Hurricane Ethan takes out the area where I was born and now an E4 tornado smacks into the place where I live. I think I've had enough for tonight. We get a lot of these weather warnings. Fortunately, none of them have actually come to pass, at least where I am. I've learned to pay attention to the warnings but also to watch the behavior of my female cat, Freyja. She likes thunderstorms and sits on the bed looking out the window as if she's communicating with Thor. If she ever slinks off and hides, that's when we seek shelter.
Not bad, just to make it more accurate marine locations in Ohio are off county lines, so instead of Avon Point to Conneaut, it's Avon Point to Willowick and then from Willowick to Geneva-on-the-Lake and Geneva-on-the-Lake to Conneaut.
Even in Hamilton County, Ohio we hear this kind of thing and ignore it. We hear it too often and usually it misses us (Cincinnati is surrounded by hills, creating a bowl effect)
@@fatfr0g570 we study weather and animals. While the tornado itself is not changed, the hills can cause changes in the weather pattern and it can prevent formation if the atmosphere is changed too much
Lol another day where I see this guy trying Ohio. Once I saw this man make a video and I saw it say Ohio, I’m like, “oh shit he just tried Ohio again”. How about a scenario where a tornado strikes the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant in Homestead, Florida?
5:05 lolz ' *Sample Text* ' Quality Content So, I made a playlist of all of these videos. Yeah, kinda dumb, I know. Thing is, most people make playlists of their videos in a group, but I didn't see one for these. So, I decided to do us all a courtesy. I have a question. I know you don't do requests, but would you consider a collaboration? I already have an idea in mind, and I've made a script (it is about 88% done), as well as recorded some lines using Tom (which was not easy given my computer's lackluster hardware and the fact that I had to use a screen capture method but I got it done-sorta). I even made a static screen, though admittedly, yours looks better (and the font is different but I tried to find the closest one to it). Anyway, if ya wanna talk more on this, drop me a line. Some time back, I had binge watched the entirety of these videos; in retrospect, that was a massive mistake as it affected my sleep a great deal for some time afterward (and I have problems enough as is with my sleep cycle and insomnia), but of course, I was already afflicted by insomnia so I thought, why not. Of course, I wouldn't of found these at all if it hadn't been for a tech tips type of channel discussing an abridged history of the Emergency Alert System; the first video I saw of these was #20: Yellowstone. Glad I got acquainted with these, though admittedly, I likely wouldn't watch any of these more than once. As good of a story these tell, a lot of said story is left to the imagination. I still wanna see an alternate ending to #6. Well, I guess there wouldn't be much of one based upon what I had commented, but it would be interesting. Also, apparently, some CZcamsr by the name 'Bad Senator' has done a showcasing of your EAS Scenarios. This just showed in my recommended feed as I was typing this. I might go and see it, to see if you get undeserved bad press, or if they're constructive.
