- Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan are beginning a three-day state visit to the UK. They will be receiving a ceremonial welcome and a carriage ride to the mall, while a state banquet will later be hosted by King Charles at Buckingham Palace.

Thank you. The bands and the horses are all trained well. Do not worry, the horses are very well looked after and will have a long deserved rest afterwards, they will not be used again for some time. They are the best looked after horses I promise you. Yes it was warm but they are trained well and most of the year our Country is not hot. We do not have many parades like this where the horses are used and they will be rested for some time following. God bless them all, they did such a great job.

As an American, I see great value in the UK’s constitutional monarchy, as well as the Imperial House of Japan. These royal families, along with strong & meaningful tradition & ceremony, are incredibly-important symbols of culture and of their people. They’re a unifying symbol that can represent their country & people minus the divisiveness of politics. Bravo to all!
