    Nice Fallows stags, even the abnormal stag was a good looking animal. Both shots were well placed and delivered with skill. There is a criticism below, mostly a rubbish comment.

    4:38 "carefully stalk". Meanwhile, cameraman is already ahead of them to get the angle. Hollywood.

    Belle vidéo , mais sur les tirs d'approche , mauvais choix de projectile pour ce calibre ,car ça devrait tomber net avec une meilleure ogive pour ce gibier ..

    The Hunter with the Härkila hat should get nothing but his license removed. His decisions are beyond bad, close to criminal at times

      It’s a good time to remove the bucks with bad genetics … so they do not serve the does.

      Can't see the previous comment but basically
      1- The experience is is more immense (males fighting, hearding females, constantly roaring etc)
      2- you have the opportunity to try to call in males
      3- the wardens and gamekeepers have the time and oppurtunity to observe and catalogue the males since they have stripped their velvets off- they can select witch ones to cull/keep/harvest
      -you can cull the males with bad genetics before they pass down their genes.
      Hope this was helpful

      How would you shoot a running deer if not offhand? 🤡 By the time you set the pole the cow/doe goes bye bye

      @@Agvad I wouldn’t shoot a running deer. Chance of a wounding shot is too great and the meat tastes off because of the waste products produced when running

      @@Springerpanhead you wont be able to taste any difference except if the deer is chased to near exhaustion (for literal hours). Yeah there is a lot bigger risk of just injuring the animal in driven hunts of course. Arguably it is the most exciting form of hunting but can be questioned morally. It is almost necessary however because through the astronomical stand prices (for a middle class hungarian at least) can the associations compensate the farmers for their destroyed crops (in Hungary the red deer population is through the roof and the damage caused by wild game is the biggest expense of the hunting associations.) What I can bring in my country's defence is that ( unlike in many other european countries) shooting male deer of any kind on the move (especially in a driven hunt) is a very serious offence punished by the Hunting Authority.

    • @Agvad
      @Agvad Před rokem

      @@Springerpanhead and in Hungary there are two different kind of driven hunt. (By the book at least, sadly in practice sometimes things doesnt work out as they should.) One kind ("hajtás") is the commond "drive" with beaters yelling, dogs barking etc making as much noise as possible to scare the game towards the hunters. In these hunts only wild boars (and pelted vermints like fox, jackal and beaver) are allowed to be hunted. The other kind is ("terelés") when the beaters stay calm and moderately quiet, dogs on leashes so the game won't run, it just "moved" in the wanted direction. In these hunts red deer cows and calfs and at some places fallow does and fawns are allowed to be hunted also.

      @@Agvad I much admire your hunting traditions and the comradeship they create. Here in America we , to my knowledge at least, have no such traditions. Our history seems to dictate a more solitary approach to hunting and many other things. It is both our strength and our weakness. May your organizations stand in solidarity against those who would destroy such traditions using the environmental cause as an excuse to gain control of a free people as is happening here
