Numatic Andyvac from 1986

The only known Andyvac, details on both ratings plate from where it originates can be found in the video. I found this gem with my Dad and NumaticJ2K at a local market in 2012. It was sold with a crack by the drum latch, that too was damaged, the cable hook was also damaged, no surprise there. It also had paint on the ‘I love Henry’ (Beaminster) sticker which I’ve managed to scratch off with my nail. The red ink in the name and ratings plate is from a permanent marker which I unfortunately couldn’t get off with alcohol or nail vanish remover. Overall the cream lid has gone yellow (quite the opposite to a cream henry). I have stripped it down and gave it a clean.
The only reason we went to the market was due to my dad suspecting his Vax 2000 was about to give up the ghost. So we go down to the market with only the thought of bringing back a Red 1992 - 1993 Henry (as its very sentimental to me). Unfortunately the seller didn’t have any of those Henrys, just white name models which obviously predated 2012 but he did have one Numatic which did have the correct style drum I wanted, so I settled for it. I thought Andy looked strange, his eyes are weird, the colour looked bizarre and dad wasn’t happy that it didn’t have a place to store the cable. It grew on me, I finally had my own Numatic Henry, this was all before we had internet, I didn’t know how rare this was, nor did I know if there was a community which collected Numatics, I’ve just always liked numatics since I was very very very little.
So lets talk about how rare it is:
As far as I’m aware no other person has an Andyvac at all. NumaticRule29 has an NV200 in this colour scheme which he got in a job-lot this year. We know another one exists but was sold in 2017. Both of these models say Numatic on the lid. My model is from 1986 & NumaticRule29’s model is from 1988, I’m not sure if they were discontinued in later 1988 for the cream Numatics we all know today but if thats the case it only had a a year or two on the production line - (mine is dated 27/12/86). Finding one of these again won’t be easy. Only three in this colour scheme are known to exist, sure there's a few more but their destiny is a landfill, most likely. Mine is only here simply because the seller only had white name Henrys. Let it be known if that seller had a red 1987 - 1994 Henry HVR200 this Andyvac might‘ of ended up sitting in a landfill by now too, what a coincidence we were there to buy it on that day.

Its very vary rare, at the time I bought it (in 2012) no one in the ‘numatic collecting’ community knew it existed. It wasn’t until 2017 when one sold on ebay for the first time (& I heard a lot of money). There’s currently three known in the word. Its hard to guesstimate how many exist but theres going to be a few more, probably sitting in landfills haha, thats just the colour scheme though, no doubt in my mind I have the only Andyvac in the world.

Only the name was custom made for Andrews Retail Group Ltd. The colour was another weird phase numatic went through, Numatic sold their NV200s in this colour
