    I like the simplicity of your exercises. Ny vocal coach ALWAYS tells me I need a cleaner attack on the first note of a phrase. She says I SCOOP at the note often and it’s very frustrating because it’s an old amateur habit that’s hard to break. Thank you, I hope this helps.😘

    I love your vocal exercises😊 very effective and doesnt strain my voice at all😅 I wish I had gotten to your channel sooner....I was doing vocal range exercises I think I've been straining my voice and now I cant reach the high notes I used to be able to reach and its bee about 3 weeks now😰 my voice cracks alot when go higher and it's very breathy... How do I know if I've damaged my vocal chords?

    • @melimusiclessons
      @melimusiclessons  Před 4 lety +1

      Tumelo Leeu welcome to this great singing channel ! Try to go on vocal rest for at least a week and see how your vocal chords feel . Maybe you’re just applying too much pressure to your vocal cords and they need a small brake

    I’ve taken voice lessons for 6 months and I haven’t made nearly as much progress as practicing to your videos every day for only a month so far. The thing is though is that I have moderate to severe asthma and it’s hard for me to take too much air in my lungs. And when I take my inhaler corticosteroids my singing worsens. Any advice? My asthma doctors don’t really have much experience in the singing area and I’m wondering if you ever taught asthmatic singers. Thankyou so much for your exercises 💕

      Ray Ray hi ! Thanks so much for your message . Yes I’ve taught a few . My best advice is to follow the “ speech level “ singing technique and sing with only the amount of air you need . Here’s speech level : czcams.com/video/mQwWDGAbD3k/video.html

    • @melimusiclessons
      @melimusiclessons  Před 5 lety +2

      EMAN glottal attacks can be eased by putting a small “ h “ in front of your warmup ( so instead of saying ah , say hah )
      A little breathing ( h) releases the tension
