      It was a real treat sitting and hearing both Jen and John talk about their relationship with the Lord and general life. It was a blessing to me and my wife.

      Not intentional, more of splicing the next segment was the thinking.

      Thanks for commenting. It was an honor to hear these guys sharing their hearts. I was encouraging to my faith and challenged me to me more transparent with what I experience and believe about my relationship with Jesus Christ.

    I don't understand her. Why does she talk about dark places if she thinks these bands are awesome? Awesome bands don't create dark places.

    • @williamwagner
      @williamwagner  Před 5 lety +1

      I can't speak for her, but it appears the context of her answering the question about playing with bands and festivals that don't represent Christian values is bringing light into dark places. She also talks about the faithfulness of God to reach the people at these festivals. In the end being a light to a dark world. "You are the light of the world set on a hill which can not be hidden."

      Who makes these dark places? Rock/metal bands don't sow darkness? The problem is not that they play with bands that sow darkness, but that they consider that the sowers of darkness are awesome (bands that have a bad influence on people) . I hope you will understand me.

      @@dronviliam2298 Your question of who makes the dark places is not addressed in this interview. Implied? Yes, but not mentioned as a point of discussion in the interview. Being a light in a place of darkness is. I don't believe from listening to this video Jen equates the bands mentioned in this video as "awesome bands". She does mention that is awesome being able to play with these bands, but not because they are awesome, but that it gives them opportunity to reach people at these festivals. She also mentions we don't see how God is faithful in working in the background with those bands and people at the festivals. She doesn't mention the relationships they have developed with those in the bands and the conversations developed as a result of playing at these festivals. What I know is this playing at these festivals has allowed them opportunities to talk and pray with the members of the bands and those at the festivals and speak life into their lives.

      @@williamwagner when skillet go with different bands are constantly called them awesome. For example the upcoming tour with: sevendust; pop evil; and skillet says these bands are awesome. And yes, jen and john think that korn, papa roach, slipknot are amazing "awesome" bands. And jen loves bands like (5fdp; post malone; halsey;) awesome bands?
      if kids want to know what kind of music jen likes? I wonder jen would listen to these bands with kids? she is so worried that music can have a bad influence on kids but I don't see her really worried. No, she does not believe in the real destructive power of music. I don't scream at her, just saying what I see.

      I can see you are bringing in information from other areas other than the conversation Jen made in this video. I can not comment on that as I have not heard such comments from her or John. As it relates to this video clip, Jen said it was amazing to play with the bands mentioned in the clip, so I can not discuss any of what you are mentioning. I don't want to side step the discussion, I am just not privy to what you are stating.
