This album was my introduction into Metallica!
My intro was the video for One, but this was my first Metallica album. I ran that tape into the ground. Once I got a CD player it was acquired immediately.

No Struggle Within lyrics in the copy I got, if you look at the lyric folder, underneath Kirk’s signature it says “Struggle?!” So I’m guessing there wasn’t one to begin with. Fantastic box set, well worth the money.

I got the remaster ex. ed and the blacklist on order from Amazon... can't wait till I get all of it as I got updated by amazon about the blacklist part being delayed in shipping. My gateway album into Metallica and also I'd say one of their best overall albums from beginning to end.

I did not get Struggle within lyrics, which is why I was watching your vid - to see if it was included in other peoples box sets - so far you are the only other person to go through all the lyric sheets on camera

Awesome box set. All i bought was the three disc cd version of this. Wish they would have put one of the dvds with it tho.
The Metal Gods delivered mine this past Thursday. Had a REAL tough time not smudging the vinyl with my grubby hands.
My 17 year old and her boyfriend witnessed my unboxing. They were baffled by the concept of a vinyl disc (I failed as a parent😁).
Daughter wanted to know where in the "Metallica Shrine" this was going to be displayed. I didn't tell her that the "Justice" box set was on its way, too. I'll find the room!

I wish they would put out Pantera box set like this and I must say the Metallica unboxing is probably the best as far as what you get for your for your bank...also big Helmet and prong fan as well

Great job! Lifetime's worth of material! And just wish Metallica included the alternative instruments/recordings of songs they did as shown in the Year & Half dvd i.e. when Lars experimented with cowbells, tambourines, maracas & when they used keyboards/synthesisers
I just got my cassette tape today.. sounds killer.
i watched the wherever i may roam it was awesome a good 3 hours of random songs from random places, sound was amazing.
Can't wait to see what's in the box!🤘🤘

Look, i love Metallica and this set looks like complete quality in execution but i gotta couple of gripes: the interview discs and overabundance of demos, imho one spin only material. Main gripe though is the pricetag (of course!) and / in relation to availability. I know its business but it won't help making it accessible for every fan who's interested , which should be a lot of folks

"Struggle" is not in the lyrics sheets, because it wasn't found anywhere. And the Moscow show is not available on DVD, because the tapes can't be found either.

Was really hoping for remastered live versions of don’t tread on me and my friend of misery.
They never played those two songs live until 2012.
i'd have liked a 5.1 dts-hd or atmos blu ray for the main album just like the beatles 50th anniversary sets.

Looks amazing! I ordered mine through Rhino but has now been delayed even thought I pre-ordered it a while ago. Not sure why that is🤨. By the way, not that matters, but does anyone know how the numbered set thing works? If you order early, do you get a lower number or does it not work like that? Just curious.
I reckon the numbering is just for production, it's probably random what number you get.

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the remaster sound. Loving the box set, bought it for all the extras mostly but I don’t think the remaster sounds even close my original 1st press. Although that press is fairly crackly having been played to death in my teen years with little care, it still has a punch that this doesn’t? Not ragging on it…. It’s all good but if someone can explain? Is it a case that it is remastered to suit digital rather than vinyl? Not sure. Great unboxing though - love it! 🤘🏻
Honestly, I’m not very interested in listening to the remaster. I’m sure I will, but it’s last on my list of things from this box.
Yeah, totally get that and having listened understand why…. unfortunately my (anal-retentive) nature won’t allow me to do anything other than listen to it in the order it was boxed 🤦♂️.
I have an original and bought this super deluxe. The remaster sounds incredible on vinyl. I’m gonna play my original this weekend to compare but the drum separation is mind blowing.
Yeah, I’ll admit I’ve maybe jumped the gun a bit. I’ve listened a couple of times since and it’s certainly better than I first thought. Still, having played them “side by side” I still think the original is better, the bass is maybe slightly punchier but overall not wildly different. No doubt about it though, the whole thing kicks a whole lot of ass!
I wish I could just get the Moscow Vinyl on its own honestly.

I don’t know why, maybe it’s the OCD collector in me, but when I see someone rip the plastic off and just even sort of crumple up the hype sticker, it makes me cringe. That’s no slam on you, it’s your box set and can do what you want to it, but it just makes me shutter lol.
Still a great video though. I actually just got the box today. I know, I’m about a year and a half late, but I found it for a price I couldn’t refuse. Cheers ❤

Yeah, it's a bit bizarre to get so many versions of each song, no way that can be a sit-through listening! Especially given that there are so many different styles and genres, nobody is going to like everything. So, I was on your side, but... decided to take the leap, as it is 100% a charity event, and there might be 2-3 good covers in there that make it worth the money.

There were no songs that didn’t make the album. The other songs they recorded were the cover songs that are on one of the CDs.
Metallica's first 6 albums are all masterpieces as far as I'm concerned! 🤘
