We had a wonderful three-course dinner at Disney's Aulani Resort in the same venue where we had an amazing three-course breakfast with character(s) just a few days prior. Yes sometimes Disney dinning can get so loud! It’s amazing to see all of the families making memories but sometimes you just want a more chill meal like you said! The corn soup and steak look so good! Also Katie’s Christmas nails are super cute! I’ve never heard of a pineapple cobbler, but it sounds delicious! That cheesecake looks heavenly! Thanks for sharing it looks like it was an amazing meal!!
We are used to putting up with the noise level of Disney dining and the Disney parks, but that rare quiet dinner with fewer children running about is sometimes just what the doctor ordered. 🙂 Pineapple Cobbler was one of our 10/10 items across the whole trip! A bit of a spoiler, but we would go on to try it one last time before we left the property - it still held up! Thanks so much for watching, Christina!

Everything in Hawaii is just a little bit more magical - if also a little bit more expensive. 😂 Worth the price of dinner for that pineapple cobbler alone.
Character meals can definitely be chaotic. The menu looked amazing. Beautiful flower in Katie’s hair and drink 😍 Of course there’s a hidden mickey in the fruit. I’m eating a publix Caesar salad while looking at your Aulani Caesar salad 😂 NY strip looked perfect. Everything was beautifully presented. That cheesecake is a dream, I love Kona coffee and cheesecake. Coconut ice cream seems like a nice compliment to the cobbler. This entire meal looked right up our alley 🤤
There’s so many cleverly hidden mickeys at Aulani, it’s no surprise that they were able to sneak another one in at Makahiki! 😁 Presentation was definitely on point and the flavors were perfect! We aren’t known for number ratings, but I think we’d probably say that everything fell in a solid 7-8 range on the Foodie meter…except for dessert, which both had to be 9’s, no question 😝 You two would definitely love Makahiki, breakfast or dinner either one! Everything on the menu looks so good. The Hawaiian cocktail sounds lovely, and of course looks so beautiful with the orchid! Hahaha Tim, don't worry, Greg had to go on a "cleanse" one day during our last vacation too LOL. Both the starters are simple yes but look so delicious!! Yum. Oh that New York strip looks perfect, yum!! It definitely looks tender. Greg would have ordered the ahi tuna too. The dessert looks so lovely too, yum. Fresh pineapple cobbler? Sign me up! The cheesecake looks so pretty too. Looks like another delicious meal and now I'm hungry haha! Awesome video you guys!! :)
The luau did set me back a little in terms of what my body could handle the next day, but had I to do it all over again, I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't do anything differently 😂 It was all worth it! That fresh Pineapple Cobbler has stayed with me in my dreams 😍 Hands down one of our favorite things to have consumed while we were on the island! Thanks for watching, Meg!

Oh wow, the steak looks cooked to absolute perfection! It looked like such a great cut too! The tuna looked good, but the steak takes it for sure!!

To be honest, once you drink Coke Zero for awhile, you start to find the full sugar Coke a little too sweet! 😝 I was definitely feeling the recoil from the repeated cocktails at the luau, but happy enough to return to my safe space of zero sugar soft drinks. The steak was amazing, but dessert was the absolute rockstar of Makahiki - and, subsequently, of Olelo! 😁 Thanks for watching, Hannah! I (Tim) am also not a huge fish guy, but I can always appreciate a grilled fish when it hits the plate just so 👌🏻 Whether it’s character breakfast or the quiet dinner, Makahiki does it right! The atmosphere, the food and the service are all on point. I’m sure there were probably a few hidden mickeys that we totally missed, too! 👀

I think we would say so! When talking about price you have to kind of figure in the 4.5% sales tax (equivalent) - meaning that just about everything you eat in Hawaii is more expensive than you might be used to 😂 But as compared to other onsite dining, the set menu at Makahiki was a nice middle ground for both pricing and quality. We'd definitely dine there again, for dinner or breakfast alike! Thanks so much for watching, guys!
No hate but I think it's time to just go with a clean shave on top. It'll look great with that beard.
Oh, that day is coming, my friend, but it is not quite here yet! 😂 The lighting and the angles of this particular video make it tough to see, but I’ve actually got a fair amount of height on what’s left up top. If I were to shave it all off now, I’d likely need weekly maintenance to keep it from overtaking my head again. Or I’d have to wax it biweekly, which is a whole other kind of pain. 😬 I am creeping towards the shaved look, though!
