A morning of non-stop DOCKING and a night out at the Portsmouth Commodore Theatre!

- Äas pĆidĂĄn 4. 07. 2022
- Our 48 hours are up and it's time for our final leg until arriving at the Great Loop Rendezvous! We kick off from the Great Bridge Free Dock just prior to the Great Bridge Lock in Virginia before heading to get Fuel, Pumpout, and dock again at the downtown Portsmouth Free Dock! There's not much better than free docks in our opinion and we try to fit them in as much as we can!
We wrap up our vlog as we visit the historic Commodore Theatre, which is a MUST-SEE in the area.
Thanks for watching!
Cheers from the Loop,
Jennifer and Elliot

ABOUT US
Hi! We are high school sweethearts from Atlanta, Georgia who decided to take a year off to travel around the world. Together we decided to create vlogs for our journey as a fun way to remember it. On September 15, 2019, we left Atlanta with 3 bags, 2 one-way tickets, and 1 goal of traveling for a whole year. Little did we know, 6 months later we would find ourselves in a nationwide lockdown in India. After spending 5 months in India, we came back to the United States and decided to purchase a 34â Trawler, dive headfirst into boat life, and kick-off Americaâs Great Loop.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny. Weâre not here to tell you âhow itâs done.â, just how weâve done it. And that whatever it is thatâs calling you - the way youâll do it is much more attainable than it may seem.
Thank you for following us along our journey!

This is so cool, my boyfriend and I have an old Chris Craft Commander that weâre currently renovating! We have no idea what weâre doing but we hope to learn and one day take her out â€ïž
Hi Guys, Great little Town and Theater. Jen you Moved Pivot off the Dock like a BossâŒïž
A wrap of black tape around the upper helm wheel is a handy and cheap way to mark the wheel to indicate a centered rudder.
AAWWW Dude!!!! Portsmouth!! I was stationed@Portmouth Naval Hosp. in the mid 70's and wow how things have changed but then many have not. Thank y'all for bringing me back after 40+yrs. Had alotta friends there. Y'all have soooo many great and cool videos of different things to do and see. So thank you both soooooo much again from the Ga. mtn. man, C Ya.....
You guys continue to knock em out of the park - another great video. The Great Bridge area is fantastic, and I can't wait to visit the Commodore based on your recommendation.
So fun watching the channel grow! As much as I enjoy watching these videos and can't wait for them to be posted.......PLEASE take time and enjoy your journey! We can wait on the videos! :)
What an amazing movie theatre, so cool, fair winds.
Jo , you are a talented woman, you can run that boat just fine, trust yourself!
I really appreciate the fact that you spend so much time communicating on the radio and together that's how it's doneđ.. I have thoughts that pop in my head as I'm watching your videos Have you ever checked to make sure that your bow thruster is clear of marine growth and debris? I remember in a past video you had to clean up your prop and rudder
Now that looked like a lot of fun đ
Loved this video. WOO HOO. Looks like you two had a ball. The popcorn looked so yummy. Mmmmmm. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Jenn, great job pulling out of your docking spot! Portsmouth looked like such a cool place to dockâŠall the ships and other boats! The Commodore looked like such a fun nightâŠglad you got out and had some fun on land! Safe travels!
Wowie, your skills at docking and undocking were awesome. If I ever get the east coast, I'm definately going to that beautiful theater. đ
Great area I live 10 minutes from Portsmouth!! Love the boat
We have a similar theater being remodeled in our town. Might actually bring us back to the movies.
I lived just down the street at Harbor Tower Apt. Love the downtown.
The success you are having in docking and undocking directly relates to your great planning, communication and confidence in what you are doing. Your planning changes depending on weather condition and location and I believe your worry times can be reduced. Being cautious is a good thing and you guys nail this. Great to see you having a great time, usually hugs to Ollie. Aloha!
thanks again always enjoyable
Very cool movie theater!
I loved going to the Commodore when I was stationed there in the 90s. Glad to see they're still rockin it!
