I've been enjoying listening to Red Velvet songs lately and have been their casual listener since 2017. Alt-pop, trap, contemporary r&b, citypop, sophistipop. Wow, they have almost all of my favorite music genres. No wonder why I really like listening to their songs. But before, I didn't know exactly what genre their music was until I saw this video. Thank you for making this list, it helps me understand my music preferences a lot ❤
can't wait for their sister group's turn; f(x) and Girls' Generation (which I know for sure will take a hell lot of time if combining group + solo + subunits songs)
That's why I started to love them once I got past their biggest songs and realized no one does it quite like them in kpop (I first heard red flavor and didn't like it then I ueard Russian roulette, also didn't like it but once I found all their rnb and experime tal tracks I was like WAITTT)

Perfect 10 is my favorite Red Velvet song, do you have more insight of the trap soul genre? I’m super curious and I don’t think I’ve seen it anywhere else
trap soul is a pretty expansive genre, there's songs like thirsty by aespa, cherish by ive, and full moon by wjsn, but in terms of songs that sound like perfect 10 i can think of are shutdown by moonbyul, do not touch & behind the curtain by misamo, rain by taeyeon, romance by cheeze

2-step is a subgenre of uk garage and theyre super similar! uk garage has more displaced and weird beats while 2-step is pretty concrete
