Hey thanks for your video!! I appreciate it. I have an 03 but should be same. Dumb previous owner over tightened the bottom hex bottom filter bolt so I'm in process of removing it. But you helped me find out dipstick and other oil draining areas for the change. Thank you!

Check the manual to get an image and then watch videos to do it properly... If this thing blows up you need a lot of Money to fix it

just to confirm in order to check the dipstick properly is the bike needed to be held up level and straight ? my 04 450f came only with just a triangle stand which plugs into the rear hollow axle and i will lean it up on that either to the left or the right... but i would tend to sit it up straight i can eyeball it to check the level.... is that proper ? such a weird design.. this is the first bike i ever owned that you dont check the oil level down at the crankscase.

So a few things wrong with this vid, always use a torque wrench when reinstalling drain plugs, 14 pounds 7 for oil filter. Never use paper towels to clean out oil filter reservoir. Use only lint free clothes. Never reinstall a dry oil filter, pre soak it in oil. Lastly don't scrub your drain holes, always wipe away from the center as you may be scrubbing dirt back in to the crankcase. 1L 15 40W.

@@EIFATIBOMBA-TRESKOHAWK if you have a welding machine, lay a nut over the broken end of the bolt, weld in the center of the nut to broken bolt end. And while still hot, carefully and slowly wrench it out. If you dont have access to a welder, use a easy out tool to remove the broken bolt. Doing it this way you want to first use a small center punch to punch a divot it the center of the broken bolt so your drill bit wont wonder(and it will) drill a bit smaller hole the the diameter of the broken bolt in the center of the broken bolt about a 3/16" deep, then use the appropriate size easy out bit in that hole to extract the bolt out. The hole is so that the easy out tool has something to bite on to.
