Hey Lanacia. So I gave away my candles that I made for Black Tie Barn samples. The feed back was that they smell phenominal. The oils from Black Tie Barn are more expensive. How do you price your candles when the FO for the same size candle is 8 to 10 dollars more expensive. I was thinking maybe to do a different vessel and a signature line.

That's awesome that your candles received positive feedback 😊. As for the question, I factor everything into my final price no matter the cost of my ingredients because that's going to tell you how much your final price is going to be.

I also use Soy10. I like to double wick and that also gives a nice burn and can improve the hot throw. I use 2 CDN 2’s or 2 ECO 1’s depending on fragrance oil

I got samples of The Black Tie Barn Himalayan Orchid and Rebel Rose. Both are very nice. Good HT and CT.

I may have to try these too. There's so many I want to get from there but I'm trying to pace myself on fragrance oil samples 😂

@@LanaciaMarie I also have the Dark Dahlia and The Bandit. OOB the smell great but I haven't tried them in a candle yet. I have a few I hope to try in the fall but my budget so tight. I decided I am just going to go for and 6-8 scent candle line. I'm still doing give aways to see if I can actually sell some candles.

@@JacquelineFalls54 yea I definitely understand about a tight budget. It is not cheap at all but hopefully it'll all pay off. And yes 6-8 scents is a nice starting point that way you're not overwhelmed by too many products. That's awesome that you'lre working towards potentially selling your candles. Doing giveaways I feel is a good starting point before moving to the next level. I did the same but not for as long as I would've liked.

Im trying to get soy to smell stronger when burning too, someone suggested even just like 10% paraffin will really help, i used 10% of fragrance from 3 different companies. I do have to use 3 wicks in a 3 1/2 inch wide 8 oz tin for it to burn clean! Good luck!!! 😊

Thank you 😊. I've read that as well about a small amount of paraffin because paraffin tends to release the hot throw stronger. I think with this oil its just a light scent though.
