    This was recorded on my Pixel 3 XL phone, so sorry about the audio quality! At the time, I didn't have the equipment necessary to connect a mic to my phone and the guidelines were pretty strict on original files only, so I couldn't record separately on a mic and then sync it up later.

    Is this an unedited recording? Just wondering because the audio quality is exceptional considering it being done with a phone.

      Yes it is unedited, the Pixel 3 XL just has a good mic in it.

    Do you practice concentration’s exercice before a performance and during your study?

    • @SashaRomeroMusic
      @SashaRomeroMusic  Před 4 lety +13

      Yes I do! I use the Don Greene centering routine as a starting point, but mostly, it's about learning how to manage negative mental self talk throughout the performance. Countering stuff like "that note was bad" with "it won't be remembered if your next notes sound good, so how do you want the next notes to sound?" That kind of thing

      @@SashaRomeroMusic how is the don greeene? is a book?

    • @SashaRomeroMusic
      @SashaRomeroMusic  Před 3 lety

      @@HCompanyAlbert no, I'm not sure if Don Greene ever wrote a book for his centering method. But he was an olympic sports psychologist first, so you can start with olympic sports centering. Also, if you want the list of steps and brief descriptions, use the contact form on my website johnromeromusic.com and I'll send it to you

    Im propebly not the first one That askes but What kind of trombone do you play? It looks like you have two valves on a tenor kind regards

    • @SashaRomeroMusic
      @SashaRomeroMusic  Před 4 lety +1

      It's a Shires twin valve. It's still just an F valve, but with separate rotors for intake and outtake.

    What type of vibrato do you use?

    • @SashaRomeroMusic
      @SashaRomeroMusic  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Justin. I use jaw vibrato primarily, sometimes slide vibrato depending on the piece, but this is all jaw in this solo.
