    I was a Derm nurse and every time we saw that on a pathology report, we were always surprised and worried. Glad you’re well ❤❤

    I've had Melanoma before in Situ now 5 years later a mole on my back has change color and I didn't even notice it because of its location my Dermatologist did on a skin check. You know something I may have Melanoma but it don't have me. I take Lexapro and have been on that for a long time but not only that I have a Keto diet and I ride my E Bike all the time now and seem to enjoy life more. I will wait for the Labs to come back next week but I am angry about Melanoma and I am over my skin. I will fight it to the death and my faith in Jesus Christ does help. Not saying Im not scared but what Warrior isn't scared that is about to go into Battle. God Bless you all.

    I just watched your video, I was diagnosed with melanoma few months ago, same thing I had a mole on my back, it did make its way into my lymph node, was removed, had scans done all good, and dermatologist appointments for next few years. I’m currently taking targeted therapy pills daily for a year. Major lifestyle change that’s for sure..

    How did u get into your dermatologist so quickly? U must have been under their care prior. It would take me months to get an appt, and it would spread for sure by the time of diagnosis. Im glad ut didnt spread beyond the nodes. A friend if mine recently told me she had the same thing, but its in her liver. Its a very scary thing. Im glad u r alright now.

      Thank you for sharing John, it can be scary. Heather was already being followed by a dermatologist. You have made a good point regarding dermatology in Canada there are different wait times and in some areas of the country this can be very significant based on access.
      We hope you enjoy our videos!

    • @heatherhogendoorn
      @heatherhogendoorn Před 3 lety

      Hi! Yes I was thankfully already being followed by a dermatologist. She has always told me that if sometimes arises to call them ASAP and they would get me in. I was really lucky to be able to get in so fast.

      @TheMic74key Před rokem +1

      We have a walk-in dermatology here in New York that you can walk in for one mole check. I’m so grateful for the services, since I had no wait time. My dermatologist quick response saved my life.

    Is stage 3 melanoma a death sentence??

    • @MelanomaCanada
      @MelanomaCanada  Před 4 dny

      There have been many tremendous strides in treatment for Stage 3 melanoma and it would certainly not be considered a death sentence. You can learn more about available treatment options here melanomacanada.ca/diagnosis-and-treatment/melanoma/adjuvant-therapy/
