I needed a 5 mm Allen key for the bracket on the tail gate--thanks for mentioning those clips the are not in the parts list and I had no idea what they were for
Nice video, very helpful. My only reservation with this is losing the "bottle opener" tie down, any concern with not using a strap across the tailgate when hauling or moving something longer than the bed? Is a tie down in the back of the bed enough? I only recently got my maverick so I have not had to use the tie downs in the bed or on the gate.
There are two more tie downs about six inches away in the back of each side of the bed. Doubt I’ll ever need to tie anything down as I have the tonneau cover.

Of course. Thanks for watching!
Best install of them so far.. thanks for sharing the information..
Thanks for this! The instruction sheet is very vague on the oval nut installation, and this helped tremendously.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for this! Especially helpful with the bottom mount bit!

You can replace it with a simple D-ring style anchor
@@clavicus then you would have to drill holes on the tailgate right? Still waiting for my mav
@@hermanchan6260 no drilling; you use the existing screw and threaded hole that the bottle opener was using
Shock is on upside down
Probably! Still works fine!
According to the DeeZee website he did it right. Why do you think it's not done right?
Good video. How much was the damper?
Free! It was a Valentines Day present from my wife! But she paid around $50
