Hey Gin, you may already know this, but there's a single screw in the bottom of that arm cuff to adjust it closer to the handle. It comes preset in the mid position, but you can take the screw out, and slide it forwards until you see the next threaded hole to the screw back into. If its still too long, consider trimming some plastic off the back of the arm cuff to fit your arm better. Its just plastic, no sense in being uncomfortable while detecting. Discomfort=shorter hunts=less finds. Good luck!
Wanted to point the same, lol dont like people hurt them selfs if it can be avoided. Nice to see you hunt with the Deus, i hunt with version 1 over 7 years now. Think Deus is the best detector there is, saving for Deus 2.

the beach videos are my fav. the sounds of the waves are so soothing. plus you have a very calming voice that´s nice and peaceful to liisten to. keep the awesome videos coming. 👍👏🕶
This is good for a fix it project. Yes padding would solve it but I would pull out the arm rod where it sits by the handle if you can. Mark the handle where your arm will be good and use a hack saw to cut the tube. Push the tube back in as it should be fine. If not, epoxy it or drill straight threw the tube and use bolt with washers and a nut. Thanks for posting and good luck hunting.

I once landed in a C47 at Patrick. Trip started at Homestead AFB then a stop at MacDill. From Patrick our last stop was Warner Robbins where we caught a hop on a C121 to Westover AFB in Mass
Wow Cocoa Beach. We used to take the kids there when they were young. Long drive from Oklahoma, but they had a blast playing with surfboards. I never did take a metal detector with me on those trips. Good luck on your hunt.
We liked your video, what you might consider on that piece that keeps on hitting your elbow is to have someone shorten the pipe that extends up past your elbow. I'm guessing you can remove one nut & bolt to remove the forearm piece then use a pipe cutter to shorten that pipe place the elbow piece back on and drill the hole for the nut and bolt. Hope this helps.

Gin, I bought the carbon fiber complete shaft from Steve's Shafts and his arm cuff is completely different from the factory cuff. It is taller and easier to place in the perfect spot on your forearm. It gives more leverage and reduces wrist strain for me. I love your enthusiasm and your fun videos. I hate to hear about the way that arm support rubs your elbow. Deus (and any of the other companies) should make that part of the frame adjustable. I hit Cocoa Beach last summer with my nox. Best I did was a nice pair of aluminum fishing pliers that I know go for quite a few bucks. There weren't many targets there, but I also didn't detect In the water. You found more then I did...
The Atlantic beaches were rough this trip; Cocoa Beach had more targets than the others but still pretty slim. The beaches have all been heavily hunted since that last hurricane; I had local detectorists with me for much of this trip and they said it was great hunting right after the hurricane and fairly quiet since. You just never know with the beach.🙂
I had this on in the background while at my desk, loved the sound of the waves. Not that I have tiny little T-Rex arms but I do find find the arm cuffs are always too far back for me as well. Anyway, have a good weekend and enjoy the sun and surf! 👍✌

If you put a short piece of nylon string or twine 6 to 8 inches long with a loop on the loose end of the string and the other end attached to the shaft in front of the arm cup on the upper shaft,you can attach the loop end to your belt .that way you can still swing your machine but hang it from your belt allowing two hands for your scoop without putting the detector down,try it as it works.
You were off by about a month and 1 to 2 miles north. Lori Wilson park would probably make a great spot now as they just had the air show and Lori Wilson was the main,(pay for a section of beach) spot for watching the show.
I love that part of Florida bc I went to college in Melbourne at Florida Tech for aviation there. I loved watching the kc-135s land at Patrick AFB as well as watching the space shuttle take off.

The YT algorithm brought me here. You have a very pleasant personality, and like many others say, this is a relaxing video. Just wonder why you would beach comb at night? Because the tide was out? When I see a person metal-detecting nowadays I'm thinking of that character on the "Oak Island" show looking for another "Bobby Dazzler." stay safe!
About 30 years or so ago I found a 1863 Indian head cent down the railroad tracks just laying on top of the ground, my brother also found a Rosa Americana penny using a cheap metal detector, lots of good stuff here in Newport, this town is a mess right now with all the construction going on

Gin, very nice video. Thank you. Would some sort of sling that attaches the metal detector you your shoulder allow you to quickly free up your hands and use your search basket. Seems the constant setting down and picking up the detector can cause wear and tear on a person. But maybe connecting the detector to a person via a sling causes its own problems. I was there last week detecting with my quest x5, found some coins and fake earrings and a toy car, great video by the way keep up the great work
You can see and tell that beach was hunting out regularly over the years...nothing left but a 1976 penny....was missed in the 1980's and 90's.

I use a rifle sling clipped on my Garrett as a single point type sling, it takes the weight off the arm.
Never thought to hunt at night...I always went early morning...cocoa beach isn't too too far from me...🤙
I don’t get a chance to do it often, but it’s nice. Gives you the best shot at anything that was lost that day.🙂🍀

About 30 years or so ago I found a 1863 Indian head cent down the railroad tracks just laying on top of the ground, my brother also found a Rosa Americana penny using a cheap metal detector, lots of good stuff here in Newport, this town is a mess right now with all the construction going on

Gin, very nice video. Thank you. Would some sort of sling that attaches the metal detector you your shoulder allow you to quickly free up your hands and use your search basket. Seems the constant setting down and picking up the detector can cause wear and tear on a person. But maybe connecting the detector to a person via a sling causes its own problems. That little helicopter was great. Thank you and take care.
