    Description:
This iceberg explores many interesting facts about the classic LEGO: Batman The Video Game. The references to the famous comic The Killing Joke, No Man's Land, Batman The Animated Series & more.
Lego Batman: The Videogame is a 2008 action-adventure video game developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Nintendo DS, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS X. The game is based on the DC Comics character Batman, as well as the eponymous LEGO Batman toyline.
The game is similar to earlier Lego games developed by Traveller's Tales, such as Lego Star Wars series and Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, in that it is both a game based on a licensed property, and has environments, objects, and creatures made out of Lego. However, Lego Batman is the first to have an original story. The Mac OS X version of the game was released in April 2009 by Feral Interactive.[1] The game received positive reviews, and spawned two sequels: Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, as well as a villains-only spin-off, Lego DC Super-Villains.
The video explores how LEGO Batman: The Video Game ties in with Christopher Nolan's Batman series, Tim Burton & Joel Schumacher's 90s films, many famous comics such as The Killing Joke & No Mans Land. It explores theories surrounding many classical characters such as Joker & his origin story, Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler and more. Matt Reeves The Batman is coming to theatres in March 2022
Iceberg Tiers (or charts) Explained/Explanation videos are are usually images of an iceberg, captioned humorously so as to convey that the tip of the iceberg is the summation of the knowledge of most people, while the much larger submerged part of the iceberg is the sum of all knowledge of a particular topic They are an evolution of documentary, video essays & Top 10 lists
Popular iceberg chart videos explore internet mysteries such as unexplained 4Chan mysteries, Dark Web mysteries, or deep dives into popular media series such as LEGO or creepy youtube ARG series. The Minecraft Iceberg explained is one popular example and explores many popular CZcamsrs such as TommyInnit or Dream, DreamSMP, Wilbur Soot, Lovejoy & other popular MCYT clips. Not Minecraft, But Water Rises or Minecraft, But Lava Rises, or a speed run / speed runner of Minecraft against a killer / assassin. Game theories, Batman theories & joker origin theories. Was Heath Ledger Dark Knight Joker part of the military background or CIA agent? Long detailed video.

Hello, I am the creator of this iceberg and I approve of this video, I remembered about the several differences between the console and ds version, such as alternate robin vehicles, moves for characters and Clayface’s identity being different but I forgot to let polar know in time. There was something else I remembered that I did tell him about but he didn’t see the message until it came out, that being an error in one of the cutscenes, where right before the Batboat Battle level begins, two penguin goons are depicted as riding on killer croc’s vehicle in the game, which is impossible in regular gameplay

The feel of this game is so different compared to every other Lego game. It will always be my favorite lol

I would mention the fact, that Bane in his grab animation can literally brake spines of policemans. I was shocked, when I saw it for the first time as a child.

I like how he talks about how some of the villain designs are based on their "Batman: The Animated Series" counterparts, and fails to mention Two-Face being an exact copy of his design in the show, with no variation.

I’m surprised there wasn’t mention that the whole Big Top mission is lifted from the Killing Joke, with Gordon being locked in a carnival and forced to watch Barbra’s crippling and assault.

There’s also a really rare glitch that can happen after beating the penguin boat level (villain’s side). After beating the level randomly characters will unlock. I’ve only seen 3 people ( including me) have this glitch happen. I randomly unlocked Bruce Wayne, police officer, swat team member , man bat, Harley Quinn, joker henchman and Hush because of this glitch

I'll never forget when I finally unlocked Ras Al Goul. I was trying him out for the first time when my power went out during an autosave, destroying my memory card. I haven't played the game since.

oh thank god, i honestly thought i was the only one who felt the game was a bit eerie and dark and depressing. i remember playing lego star wars and how bright and funny was. but thinking back to it, it kinda gives me the creeps how i would play lego batman and not thinking all that much abt it. still kinda miss it tho

The deepest part of the iceberg that's part of this game for me is a hidden room I discovered in the DS version. It's in the secret room behind the wall in the cell at Arkham Asylum. If I ran at the left wall the right way, the camera would clip through the wall and reveal a room that I didn't remember seeing in any of the levels and I have no clue why it's there. I remember it having the blue brick puzzle in it so maybe it was part of a cut level or something...

if you turn off the music but keep the sound effects on at arkham asylum, if you go to quiet areas, you can hear deranged people within the walls, men and women, and you can't tell if they are laughing or crying

To add to the last entry of it being the darkest Lego Batman game, I think the picture of a red mask Robin model on the last tier is supposed to be about Jason Todd . Considering the Robin in this game is Tim and Nightwing is a playable character . That means that the joker has already killed Jason in this universe adding another layer of darkness to previous mentioned things.

I have a feeling that “little fun at the big top” was supposed to be called “the killing joke” and was supposed to show the tropical joker instead of regular joker. But because the dark nature of tkj it had to be cut back and references toned down to just the general allusions and the tropical joker.

As a kid I just simply thought this game was very cool, but looking back at it all now, I am indeed kinda surprised how many "dark" gags they were able to fit in there. Another one you forgot to mention is that Bane can actually break a person's back as a grab kill move. I remember seeing that a lot and stuff like that and Joker's unalive joke never really phased me. That kind of thing would NEVER be approved for a Lego game today. People and companies had much thicker skin back in the 2000's and before, it's honestly pretty sad how most things are turning up now all even more watered down. That Yeti theory of him being Snowball is pretty good though, even if it's most likely a coincidence. I definitely believe he was an unused enemy for one of the Mr. Freeze and/or last Penguin levels.
