fun fact! those aren’t sting rays, they’re actually horseshoe crabs! they’re completely harmless and don’t sting. if you flip them over, they have these tiny little legs lol. hope you had fun in jersey :)

Horse shoe crabs!! when i was a kid i went through an obsession of them and whenever i went to the beach, i would spot one and wait until people walked by before loudly shouting that there was a horse show crab nearby, and run to pick it up because come on. I’m a professional horse shoe crab picker upper- Napatree Investigators when i was ten.

Harmless unless you step on one. Their shells are extremely hard and have spikes. If you turn one upside down they look kind of gross. In total they have ten eyes and ten legs.
The whole thing is what I aspire to have in my life one day 🥺🤍 hanging out at the beach with my besties reading our fav books 🫶🏻
