@@YupDock rat kangaroo is way better than rat hippo since you can get free triggers for whatever animal is in between the kangaroo and the rat without the kangaroo having to take damage or do anything.

The way I feel about lvl1 penguin vs lv1 giraffe is if I have at least 1 alright level 2, I can swap, because it's doing the same thing giraffe does from any position and I can invest in other units before I invest in penguin. Very comfortable team comp and buffs, good wins father

Pay to win is cursed. Constant soul reads. I had a 50/50 puppy butterfly build going with turtles for melon, a big dolphin to snipe turkeys, and a 1up scorpion up front. Then the puppy gets zapped by enemy’s level 3 skunk, which ruins the butterfly, and then his giant rhino up front wiped out my entire team after 1 attack. Just awful.
NL pilling a lv 2 ant when he still has a base fish in round 5 gave me a heart attack
What is interesting with Ox is putting a Badger in slot 1. So long as you don't have a fly or such, the badger dies and explodes and the way the game handles the order of it, the death explosion triggers the melon armor you primed THEN it does the death and puts melon back on the Ox. If you have a tier 2 or tier 3 badger that you work on in the front, this can demolish the front line of teams.
Many people run mosquitos so the risk is probably not worth the advantage you get.
so the level 1 sheep is basically 6 damage and absorbs three attacks under optimal conditions, with meat it's eleven, thats actually pretty good value early
Though it can be negative value against hurt triggers
31 min mark, fly in shop, some golf too. Nah I’ll keep the 2/5 level 1 giraffe giving out a 1/1 instead of replacing it with a fly that’d vastly improve odds through mad stats and also through giving the ox and kanga another buff during battle

at 25 mins he has the perfect front badger setup. monkey and tiger two trash units to get suicide bombed while you take out all their heavy hitters with the badger. putting the gator at the front with 4 hp taking monkey buff made me cry F

Big brain move is to pair the rat with hurt triggers or Hippo, a level 3 rat gives you 3 triggers for free if you can kill enough of their board
Them having turkey kind of sucks but all you can do in that matchup is hope you've scaled your pop off animal enough anyways
Do that AND have the Roo behind the hurt trigger unit. And Turkey doesn't even counter if you garlic the hurt trigger unit
I think you needed to fully embrace the rat meme on the game you leveled it. The stats on their own got outclassed really quickly. Had chances to go pufferfish or hippo.

Flawless runs are definitely rooted in a ton of luck. I've had some flawless runs, but I've had many more 8 or 9 hp runs where I could have had flawless if I had better luck in the first couple of rounds.

Funniest part too is he would've won most of the lost rounds if he just went Roo Rooster Rat instead of his jank ordering. Sad cuz both Rat and Roo are strong in F2p if used right

Skunk is not worth taking at all if you get it on level up imo. At most you're gonna be facing like a 15HP unit and doing like 5 damage. Just not worth imo.

At 15:56 could have gone sheep behind the cricket. You still get 2 triggers on the bison. At this point in the game, it's likely they'll have lesser health pets at the back, but possibly more damage (like meat.) So I'd assume it's more useful to go for hurt triggers than a 6/6
If you went with the sheep, you would have won with a single sheep left (after slowing down the video and drawing out what would have happened)
Next round, sell the sheep and buy a parrot behind the ox, with the cricket in front of the ox

I feel like NL is overrating the Ox - not because its a bad unit (let's be real its probably one of that best) - but rather because it loses quite hard against summoning teams. And those are everywhere recently.
The ox is one pet out of 5 you can field at one time. Usually, you have a sheep or cricket of your own early on to proc it so, no most of the time it isn't losing to summon builds when it matters. Late game turkey fly shenanigans are a different story but by then the ox will have long since fallen off.
i dont understand why ox loses "hard" against summon teams wouldnt it be just as good as any other animal with melon and it gets melon for free so its more cost efficient which would make it still do better against summon teams compared to other animals that would take its place which would mean it doesnt lose hard against summon teams it would mean that when facing summon teams its not OP unlike when its facing non-summon teams maybe you meant to say it loses its OPness against summon teams which would be an accurate way of describing the situation and still if its OP 80% of the time its OP all the time thats how math works
@@ahmetsaidalkur50 ox loses hard imo because in the early game it has very little toughness. Deer, sheeps, bees etc. easily strip the melon and cause trouble for the unit since it cant gain toughness. its just a lot weaker than it used to be imo because people are buying the summoning units a lot more as they move into the middle gameto prepare for hopefully getting a turkey. Back in the day the Ox used to generate free wins in the middle game and was the perfect unit to help with transitioning into the late game, now because for the amount of people trying to use summoners rather than the old big frontline unit strategy he ox has become a lot weaker.

When i first came by this channel, i thought op was an egotistical overopinionated ass. I've watched for some time now and i've noticed op is a intellectual. Most of the time we fill in the blanks and judge early; essentially we hear what we want to hear (maybe just me fine) I now understand that op is well versed in cultural knowledge and has fair opinions that hit close to the mark with some consideration. (not every time but generally) I've come to love the stream of consciousness, works well with entertainment. I want to set a bet that op exerts more brevity when in person. I've noticed this more with catan.
