Leo, the tour operator and owner, seems like a personable guy. really chill and easy to get along with.
So many of those stars are gone but not forgotten. :'(
That dude in the car that put his window up cracked me up😂
How about a time stamp? It’s a form of citation so people who happen across your comment csn share in the jubilations. Otherwise you’re just making a comment for a select few.

Hes very Well spoken, Great Host!!!
I agree. Thank you for watching
DUDE! this was totally awesome tour! Killer edit with the scene snippets too! 👻👊🏽
LOL!@captainscentsible3938
The Player is such a great underrated movie!
Very cool tour, lots of history to be found! Formosa and Emzer Tile locations are awesome!
Great job, Kurt! I really appreciate your videos more and more. I just really want to thank you for taking the time to do this for us. Your videos have a special place in our hearts and memories. Thank you again, Kurt.
Thank you so much for such a kind comment. It is my pleasure. I'm so glad you enjoy it so much. Thank you!

Heeeeey. Thank you for the safe journey
@80slife a legit whitetrashtwat
Right down the street from me. Thanks for the awesome video to you both!
Let’s go do this tour!
You forgot to Thank Your Son for being an Excellent Cameraman.. 👍
Definitely, a short version of the tour since Leo offers 2 hours tour on his website. Nice story about the "Shirley Temple's" drink.
THANK YOU TO YOU AND YOUR SON,,, WOW!!! 2 HOURS!!! WE ARE GOING TO GO ALSO ON THAT TOUR AWSOME ,, AWSOME ..PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
eXCELLENT! Loved it!
Cant wait to watch this when I get home after dinner! Great channel my dude!
I always love Kurt’s honesty: owner invited us, don’t know the tour and we’ll see if it’s any good!
Thank you! Gotta be honest.
You can tell that the tour guide put his heart and into this little business and teaming up with local restaurants to promote as well is awesome! ❤🙌 Amazing video sir!
Great video
Awesome video dude. Thank you for the upload!
Thanks for taking us along Kurt! I love the outtakes at the end!
I like the tech in the vehicle, really well thought out.
I used to listen to Leo on 97.1 in la growing up. I think they should have given him more time. I havent heard him in more than 15 years.
always a great video my top 5 adam grimm collective and sean so ty again 80s rule and loved the tour great guide
Brilliant video thanks Kurt.
Great tour! I really enjoyed it!
Nice little tour and great guide
Kurt Crucial this is awesome. So I am a SF valley guy but I love tours like this in Hollywood. Your friend knocks this outta the park. Well done Sir!!!
Thank you so much. I'm really glad you enjoyed it
I used to love Leo’s “Film Freak” show on 97.1 KLSX FM Talk. It was a great surprise to see him. I may book a tour just to support the guy because he was always a joy to listen to on the air. God, how I miss that station & all of their on air talent.
This is def getting booked on my trip ❤❤
I love this channel!! Do you know the movie "The Heavenly Kid"? It's definitely one of my favorite films from the 80s. On the internet, there are no videos of the filming location of this movie. :(
I was only thinkin of that movie the other day, used to watch it a lot out here in Australia growin up. Havent seen it in years
So much fun 😊
I listened to Leo's show on 97.1. It's great to see an informative video with you both. ❤
Great tour 👍
Hi . I’m watching from Brisbane Queensland Australia ..I really enjoyed the video and I love Hollywood filming locations. Watching this feels like I’m on holiday. 😀😀😀 hello from Australia
This was so awesome! The tour guide was fantastic and what a set of pipes that guy has. The creme de la creme was seeing the Ralph's where The Dude shopped. Majestic!
The 80s was the freaking golden age of action movies
Very entertaining...I'll have to check it out next time I'm in L.A.
This is a blast!!! I'm not even done yet... Thanks for sharing the fun Kurt! Love the clips, very cool 😎💜👍
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it
Great stuff Kurt
This was really cool! 🤜
Some helpful tips.
Great tour! Leo forgot The Palace and Against All Odds nightclub scenes with Kid Creole. Thanks Kurt!
Love the tour!
Super 👍
Only a matter of time B4 Kurt & son get their stars on Hollywood Blvd. Right on that corner of Hollywood and La Brea where I believe Elvis and the Beatles are( ? !)
The Beatles and their individual Stars are in the front of the Capitol records building, were else.
Nice video Kurt 👍
We need an 80s Life Tours that Would be Rad
It may happen one day. I think about it a lot!
The Key Club used to be Gazzarri’s in the 80’s. It’s where the Doors and Van Halen played before they made it big❤️
Very interesting ! Looked like an awesome time and a lot of fun.
Thank you. It was a good time
I learned something about the Viper Room that I found really fun and interesting, I think from this channel is that the Go-Go's shot a scene from one of their videos back in the early 80's. Loving this 80's channel.
That was also the club in Valley girl.
Dude, this stuff reminds me of those tours that were wandering around in peewees big adventure. Surprised they still do all this with how much everything has changed. Wonder how much will change after they make it a smart city…🐸🍺🔪🔥
Great video as always. I thought the Viper Room got demolished
Hollywood ⭐ love my favorite one fan Big 💖
Great video!! This tour looked way better then the one you did with Adam.😎
cool stuff , great idea very well made , i didnt know the viper room still IS, i think Sean Clark said all of those iconic 80s places on the strip will be gone soon
Love them 80s baby!!! thanx!😮💖💯🤍💫👍!
Thank you!
cool man
Loved this video! I'm Shane, and I am a youtuber from Australia (Themeparks, Attractions & Events), and this is the sort of tour I'd be looking to do on our next visit. Do you know if someone does other ones that would include locations like Fast & Furious House, back to the future houses, Houses from other movies around pasadena etc, and other iconic movie locations like Terminator etc?
That would be definitely something I'd love to do!
Anyway, keep up the great work, love the channel!
Regards,... Shane (Jaggs Journeys)
When someone starts ‘00’s life, will we feel old?
Excellent tour, wish I knew about this last year when I was in L.A. I'm surprised the van didn't visit N. Orange Grove Ave and do the original Halloween houses. It's literally just off Sunset Blvd which you drive down on the way to Sunset (but you know that I'm sure).
As he mentioned, the tour was 2 hours. So a lot that wasn't shown
You could easily do 3-4 hours in that area and still leave out a ton of stuff.
Hopefully a PT 2....
Conflicting Reports: The Big Lebowski's Ralph's was reportedly filmed at a South Pasadena Ralph's, not the one on Sunset. Was the guy even listening to the Dude's story?
I had fun at the Viper room
wish i had the money to visit the hills never mind that tour lol but very good tour and always from kurt
I would actually love you to do a tour of where actors from LA were brought up, like schools they went to etc ❤
So what was used as an external for a club in Night at the Roxbury is actually Mark Mothersbaugh's studio, they guy who did terrific soundtrack music for Last Man On Earth (among others) you might recall
Very cool wish I took that tour when I visited LA last year. Btw you'd do very well starting your own.
I would LOVE to do tours. It would just take a lot to make it happen
@@80sLife You're already doing it in a sense and with less overhead ;)
Oh my god I remember STUDS! When I was like 12 years old we were at Grauman's Chinese Theatre and someone came up asking if we wanted to go to a taping of STUDS and I wanted to go so bad but my Mom was like "no way" 😂
Happy birthday,Patrick Swayze! 😢
Great job, Kurt!
death wish 2 was filmed at yamashiro 6:00
He's gotta add it to the tour
I can't believe they missed out 9000 Sunset where they filmed the 1st episode of Columbo: Murder the book. Right opposite the Whisky.
As he mentioned, the tour was 2 hours...
So obviously a lot that is on the tour but not shown here.
Plus, something like Columbo, unless your of that era, probably not high up the list
I'd love to see it, but the people taking these tours nowadays want the latest greatest.
That was cool they show the parts they describe your about to see on the TV screen to get a idea of what your looking at? I feel like with all the stuff you filmed and your knowledge you too could do the same for people because you go into more details possibly because your on foot? Also would be nice if you invite followers and did the same just a idea?
I used to shop at the Dudes Ralph’s on Sunset
I've shopped there a few times
@@80sLife......and another shout out, if ya ever do That Thing You Do, shoot me a note, I know of a location from that one, that as far as I know, has never been ID'd
Not one of the main locations, a quickie... but a fun one...
@@chuckfan1 ooooh cool. I'll definitely let you know.
8:07 no, it’s sad 😞 very sad
💥💥💥💥👊👊👊👊
I miss them days walking with kool keith aka Dr.Octagon recording on Hollyweird
Good times #80s4life #Analogbrothers
I wonder what Italian restaurant is better, Dan Tana's or Miceli's ? I've been to Tana's 4 times. Gotta try Miceli's next time 👍
Much better Tour than Adam the Woos tour he had.....lol...this one seems super Legit!
Haha. DEFINITELY more legit!
You must feel incredibly lucky to have grew up in this era, in LA...i feel lucky for this era ii mean i was 9 yrs old 1980 so my whole teens were literally the 80s 😂😂
My rabbit hole after watching this - "According to Shirley Temple, the non-alcoholic drink bearing her name was invented at the Brown Derby in the mid-1930s. Temple herself never liked the drink and noted her personality rights had been used without permission. ...The Cobb Salad was also invented at the Brown Derby. It was named after restaurant owner, Robert Howard Cobb."
From wtat I hear the drink was first made at Chasens
@@recoveringfatboy5660 I guess there's a few different origin stories about it.
Great video .i feel i just took a hollywood location tour for just 1 like :-)
Awesome! Thank you!!
@80sLife 2 hours? Hmmmm... maybe a
PT 2 😮
I'm sorry, but this is funny to me..They're talking the master of filming locations on a tour and probably don't even know that Kurt is the guy who found many of these lost filming locations and revealed them to the world... It's like teaching a martial arts class and Bruce walks in as a student....
Sigh...
First off...
The tour guide INVITED him. A lot of places do that nowadays, invite Social Media types, amusement parks, restaurants, tours etc to get some publicity
And so this guy knowing about Kurt and his channel, invited him to get some exposure etc...
Next, these locations aren't "lost".
Every location in this video is well known.
Yes, in some of his videos, Kurt might find a hard to find location....
But none of the film locations here, are "obscure" or "lost"
I've done some work in locations , mostly here in Orange County, and people I come across know of these
The BTTF gym, the Pretty Woman motel, Big Lebowski etc....
What kind of locations are these?
It just wouldn't be LA or Hollywood without someone pooping in the gutter. I once saw a homeless man completely naked in East Hollywood.
Awesome Tour!!! Much appreciated! I drive those streets all the time and had no idea of the rich history!!!!
Pig 'N Whistle isn't Pig 'N Whistle anymore?! I am shocked! Shame they couldn't make it to 100 years.
The channel Interesting Things From Around The World has the same intro as you or vice versa
Uh oh! Looks like we hired the same artist
@@80sLife He or she plagiarized themselves 😂
The Big Lebowski Ralphs is in Pasadena, not Hollywood... Wrong location
Maybe she was recreating Pink Flamingos. 😉
Yikes! Haha
A lot of those places he showed you did them already 😂
Cool tour. ..not. 1 of those phoney 1s
Wow I'm the 666th like 😈🙏😢
River Phoenix died in the viper room
You sound like Norm Mcdonald Comedian who used to be in Saturday Night Live and passed away are you related to him?
In the pretend land of dreams, real nightmares exist on it's streets. Or is what you witnessed at the end of this video just an actor giving tourists the gritty Hollywood experience?
GG Allin was onto something. Smell My Feces, Enjoy!
OOOh a Scientology building!
Anyone with a Pirates hat and Flux Capacitor in their car is OK with me.
if those writers are the ones responsible for such garbage as rings of power and 'new simpsons' etc etc let them strike forever - we need some scabs with talent asap! lol
+5k views if you show the pooping lady...real life LA in action...
That's probably true
