- Hey, Slavs is a song dedicated to Slavic peoples. Its first lyrics were written in 1834 under the title Hey, Slovaks (Hej, Slováci) by Samuel Tomášik and it has since served as the anthem of the Pan-Slavic movement, the anthem of the Sokol physical education and political movement, the anthem of the SFR Yugoslavia and the transitional anthem of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. The song is also considered to be the second, unofficial anthem of the Slovaks.

This is SLAVIC anthem, Anthem of Slavic people. And, Polishs are just one of many Slavic nattions in the Europe, so thats why they used this melody for their anthem.

It has different lyrics and is slower than the polish anthem. I also think the tune is slightly different towards the end-middle.

However, this is the Pan-Slavic coat of arms which includes CoA of every slavic country and 2 flags at top are : the flag of Slavia/United Slavic Countries(horizontal blue-white-red) and Kolowrat(symbol of Slavs). It also includes three words at the bottom : 1. SLAVA(Latin)2. СЛАВА(Cyrillic) 3. SŁAWA(Polish Latin). These words mean "Glory/fame".

The only Slavic cultures that are very honest are Slovakia and Slovenia because these are the only Slavic nations with a derivative of the word *Slav*. ALL other Slavs are ashamed of their own past, because they used to be slaves of the Byzantines (Slav = its etymology comes from *slave*). The Panslavic movement is a bunch of countries that used to be *Second world and Soviet satellites* and they suddenly emerged as the wannabe "Keepers of the European culture". Guess what SLAVS. Your christianity was imported from Middle East, like all other religions fairytales from (like Judaism, Islam and Christianity). But even the Pagans have their own fairytales anyway.
Poland's alternative name is Lechia, which derives from a west slavic Lędzianie tribe. Add indo-european suffix -stan, and we have Lechistan, land of the Lechs (lechici --- west slavs) ;)) Not all Slavic countries have Slavic-derived names, though. Rus was norse term
