There should be a screw at the base of the front side of the bow that actually pushes the grip back towards you hand. The side screws shouldn't be doing the majority of the holding of the grip angle adjustment in place.
There is a set screw through the riser to fine tune your adjustment in or out with a plate underneath the grip to support the grip along with the two screws holding on the side. Not sure why he didn’t know this 🤷🏽♂️

He's really quite knowledgeable but it's these Mae West Exposure moments that are quite cringe.

The grip has a drive screw on the back of the bow that pushes/pulls the grip in or out. Use the drive screw to set the grip angle before tightening down the lock screws on either side, so you don't risk breaking the grip's slide rails. The palm side of the bow is the Face of the bow. The side of the bow everyone thinks is the front is actually the back.
I’m excited to shoot this one. The features are really intriguing especially at the price

No they won’t. The SS34 will remain in the 2024 line up but no changes will be made

I love the Reckoning tech on the Core, but love the draw and hold of the S34
Yeah any bow that’s too short for your draw length will pull easier because you have more leverage at its peak weight in the draw cylce
@@InsideOutPrecision for sure. I meant lesser than the bows max DL. So if your DL is 28" and the bow maxes out at 30", it seems to draw smoother, opposed to a 30" DL and 30" max where it appears to just "wall" into the valley. At least that's what I've seen in the Core SR.
I still got dat rpm 360. Ain't found anything I like since, And I'm 51 years old.
And it's a 2015 bo, definitely not 15 years
Glad it’s been a good bow for you! It’s an aggressive bow compared to the newer ones and had lots of limb issues, but sounds like you got one of the good ones!
Mines has serving separation on the cams after 20 shots :(
I hear this about a lot of bowtechs often and that sucks because at this price point add another 130/150 on top for new sting and cable set from a good custom manufacturer plus all the accessories you wanna deck it out at. Im really interested in this and the SS for all the amazing features and tunability without press. But before this i was set on a phase 4 at a discount hopefully when the new Mathews drop. Im pretty torn. All stock strings are kinda cheap and should be made better from the factory but serving separation especially where it rides over the cams or mods or end loops is excessive and dangerous. Bummer to hear. Thats on this current model the 2024’s??
Jumped on the bow tech wagon with the sx80. Couldn’t be happier with it.
Bows pivot about the grip, not the limb pockets. Reflex does not change the pivot point. It's a side effect of the riser design. Shorter limbs and vertical risers have less lateral deflection, and mimicking that with a set-back limb pocket doesn't change the relationship of input to output.
The limbs and riser are effectively infinitely stiff laterally compared to the input force (there's no practical deflection axially between the limb pockets). More or less reflex doesn't change the relationship between the grip and the spot on the cams where the string applies torque.
@@InsideOutPrecision Axial pivot? I wouldn't know without talking to them. People use the wrong terms all the time. It's common to adopt the terminology of the general public rather than tell your entire customer base they are wrong. That's usually not the best way to keep customers. It doesn't change the geometry of the input or output. If they call it the pivot point of the limbs for limb deflection, well that's actually what's happening and how they're designed. It needs to pivot to support the limbs without damaging them.
A wider and longer limb pocket can stiffen the riser and the limb base, which is likely a good thing, but it doesn't change the riser's pivot point.
Your grip is a fixed point. If you hold an arrow near the nock it can rotate in your fingers around the pivot point of your hands, regardless of the center of gravity. Objects not constrained by another object will rotate about their center of gravity. If you push an arrow from the nock end but let it fall, it will rotate about the center of gravity as soon as it's no longer constrained. It doesn't matter how long or short the arrow is, because it'll rotate about the fixed point of your hands.
Another example: grab the riser near the limbs. Twist your wrist. Yes it's quite a workout but the entire riser is rotating about your hands and not about the grip of the bow. It's not where the riser is designed to pivot about, but where it's constrained. It doesn't matter which direction you rotate the riser, even if you're tipping forward or sideways, because it's rotating about your hands.
I bet this bow shoots as fast in comfort as the ss34 does in performance

No still has standards mounting threads like every bow
Should offer 80 lb option
I think with draw cycle being Bowtech’s moneymaker they probably don’t want it to feel like an 80# bow
Wasn’t last years how the sr 350 with had an ibo of 350?
It came out two years ago. It was decently fast but has a much harsher draw cycle and didn’t aim nearly as well. At least that’s what people who have owned one have said.
@@InsideOutPrecision I had one. So the core sr in your opinion is less harsh than the 350? Which has a more present draw change or, phase 4 or the core sr? You should start making comparison videos..
@@matthewkyle6939 I just ordered a SR from my local shop. It still felt as quick as my SR350 in performance but I can definitely tell there is a stability difference between the two. I can shoot comfort all day with my 350 but the SR felt much easier to hold better for longer. Both 30 inches @ 70 lbs.

Why can’t companies make their carbon bow as light as pse? I get that bowtech says they distributed the weight better but in my opinion there’s no point to get bowtech’s carbon bow this year. I’d just get a core model and spend less money for basically the same bow
Yeah I’ve always wondered the same thing. The point of carbon for most people is to lighten up their hunting set up. It does have a different feel to it and doesn’t get cold, but I can by a lot of hand warmers for $600! The only downside to the PSE being so light is that the riser has significantly more flex to it that other carbon bows. Some can be pretty finicky when tuning
@@InsideOutPrecisionCan confirm about tuning. Mine was an exercise in diligence and creativity. Tested it up close with a laser attached to the sight bolts and it flexes a good amount during the draw. But it feels so good to hold out at the end of your reach at full draw I'm okay with it.
The effort is appreciated but rather than declare a 6-8fps difference, why not just flip the modules to performance and do it yourself. I mean, you're standing there with the bow in your hand and a chronograph. The reason I'm drilling you is because Podium Archery, Lancaster and two others others are seeing 10-11fps IBO increases. These aren't huge numbers in the grand scheme.... but at least it's correct data.
