I forgot to mention in this video that I really do love this stove! It heats our old farmhouse great, and is very efficient. Hopefully they have the problems fixed and the new stove will last us for years!👍🪵🔥
Glad they are doing the right thing. I hope the new one holds up better.
They are a good company and make good stoves. I'm sure the new one will be better 👍👍
Sorry this happened again CJ. DS stoves is a good company and I am glad to hear they are sending you a new one. I haven't had too many issues with my DS stoves I run, but when I have they have always gone above and beyond to make it right. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Vermont. Pete
No doubt they make good stoves! Just my luck I get a rare bad one lol. I'm sure the new one will be better 👍
Another great video about real world experience. At the end of the day, like anything else , anything can and will break. However the company is working with you to make it right, and thats all they can do. It sounds to me like DS is a decent company. And from your video, I would buy from them because they are trying to do right. Take care.
Absolutely right Paul and that's how I feel too 👍👍
Oh not again! I hope the company renew it for you.
And I do hope you've all had a fabulous Christmas. 🙏💝🥳
We sure did Moira! Hope you had a Merry Christmas as well!
Bro., stop slamming the door shut with those King Kong muscles & all will be OK!!! Glad to be back catching up with you guys. Blessings for 2024, Dirty Jersey out!!!
I wish that was all it was.. that would be an easy fix lol
Is it time for an outdoor wood boiler. Wonder if there is a company interested in you showcasing their outdoor wood boiler.
I have heard a lot of good things about DS Stoves. I think they just had a bad batch of stoves and I was one of the ones to get one. Hopefully they have this new one reinforced good and there will be no problems 👍
Even with the setbacks thing are working out CJ, Merry Christmas to you and your family my friend
Yes sir they are! We will keep moving forward. Merry Christmas to you and your family Dave!
I have a DS aqua gem and it’s a tank. Never had an issue and they are an Amish owned company I believe here in pa
Yeah I believe the issue was only this model during a certain time frame. I love the stove. Hopefully this next one will be all good 👍
Did you guys get a new wood stove at I like your new video I love your video we have a good Christmas buddy
Hey Travis! Hope you had a good Christmas!
Cosmetically, the welder could have made it look better. But if it holds, it's good.
Yeah it's a shame the weld didn't hold because I thought he made it look good
That’s horrible man, hope it holds up!
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas Mallard family!!
Just my luck lol. Merry Christmas to you and your family Chase!
@@Mallard5plus1Farmhouseappreciate it CJ! The ancient pot belly in our new farm seems to have never missed a beat. Still burning safe and really nicely!! Our initial inspection they said chimney looked barely used, so we are putting it to use!
@LongColtSportsman that's awesome! Nothing better than wood heat. I love my stove so hopefully this new one won't crack 👍
So when you do steel panels you can't use a squared cut in many applications. Such as a ship or boat hull needs rounded corners on patches and windows amd manways. This is because of thermal stress amd flexing. Same does for fireplaces. The high heat causes expansion and stress cracks. The opening should have been rounded more in the corner. Plus those welds suck. Way to cold and puffy. Will have to airarc or grind all the old weld off and grove it withing .050 to .060 form going through. Then 6010 or 6011 root pass and a 7018 hot cap. Or E71 wire and welding mix. You can see welds didn't flow and are way over filled. Find a heavy equipment repair welder or pipe fitter.
Definitely something wrong with the metal plate. It seems as if the plate is too hard and making it brittle and unable to expand and contract without cracking
No the stove is awesome! They said they have it figured out now whatever the issue was. I'll ask when they come
Might be worth a field trip to DS Stove and show us around. Looking at the Kozy King 100 for my place.
I don't even know where DS is at lol. I bought mine from Coalway in Apple Creek Ohio. They would help you for sure
@@Mallard5plus1Farmhouse Gordonville PA. They make a ton of cool stuff.
I love in an old New England Cape built in 1800. Fieldstone foundation etc. pretty drafty. Does the Kozy King put off enough residual heat to warm the basement as well?
@andrewseamans1419 yes it does. When I have a good fire going it makes the basement pretty toasty.
@@Mallard5plus1Farmhouse perfect! Thanks for the reply!
My King 628 is over 50 years old and still runs Great. I don't feel you should be paying Any shipping. But that's just me.. GOD Bless!!!
I want one like you have lol. God bless you and your family as well!
Lol my king is only 900sq feet, i use it on the porch to cook on 2 burnners. That little stove has brought joy to many members of my families. My buck stove heats the house. Not near the size you have there.. gotta love the wood heat😇😁
@bennyhill3642 yes sir! Love wood heat!
O i 4got to comment on your fire wood. I sold fire wood about 4 years ago. I sold it by 1/2 cord at $125.00 to a full cord for $225.00. If you dont know 1/2cord 4' high x 8' long dbl that on a full cord, note when people want small amounts like what your selling you pay more. I saw at home depot 12 pieces rapped in 6mill plastic for $12.00 now i do live in south carolina down charleston way, we dont have a long term winter here.. you might check craigslist to see what people are selling it for where you live..😇😁
@bennyhill3642 oh yeah I know a full cord. But wow $12 man that's a lot. I was thinking $7 which I still feel is high so idk.
