  • After hitting Newcastleton we stayed on the border and did some wild camping. Next morning was Kielder where we did the the Deadwater Red and Black trail (missing some black). There are plenty more trails including the Lomeson trail (Red Grade) featuring the England's longest boardwalk.
Not the mention the off-piste madness we found.....video out next week!

What bikes you ride, full suss or hardtail?
Could this be done on a hardtail,

I’m on a full sus, I would say a good bit of travel is needed. I have 160mm front and back. I’m going to say it would struggle to soak up the big hits, one might argue that’s what the arms and legs are for though. Let’s say If your Loic Bruni it’s possible. If you give it a go let us know, would be a great watch that!

There's people do it on hardtails but you'd have to be super careful or super good

    Kielder looks better than Newcastleton!

Me and my 5 year old have two electric osets but there is limited information available. Do you think they would be acceptable on these trails. Thankyou.

Not sure pal. You could ring ahead and ask. Maybe look at the guidelines for riding in Scotland. You might find they allow bridleway riding or even single track riding with it being so rural. Anyhow, hope you find a decent spot. Would love to rev one of them around a single tracked forest!

Thanks for your comment. I’m thinking just try our luck. There electric and quiet so it not like we a wavering a red flag to a bull and we are very responsible people.
