I love FSX cause With the freemeshx you get a similar maybe even better experience than Xplane in terms of global but yes the physics are good you just get over stress warnings when you see planes in real life doing the same and being normal and you can fly upside down but if you compare the price and the fact a free upgrade gives you the same experience as xplane with a slight physical limit it still is good so I think fsx is still quite solid

So basically:
There are aircraft which have their main wing(s)' airfoil *symmetrical* (fighter jets/sports planes) or *asymmetrical* (commercial/private planes).
Long story short the *asymmetrical* airfoil is designed so that it generates upwards lift only when not inverted. If you invert a plane with an asymmetrical airfoil the lift shall be negative and you go bye bye.
*Symmetrical* airfoils however do not generate lift at all during level flight. They do only when you alter the pitch therefore you obtain a much more maneouvrable yet unstable plane out of it which is perfect for acrobatics.

Adding to that: the engines fail cause A) in the case of piston engines (the Cessna) the oil pump goes nuts, no lubrication, the engine overheats and seizes or a protection system intervenes and shuts it off or B) in the case of jet engines, they turn off due to fuel starvation, given that the pumps can't suck in fuel from the tanks when inverted
Fighter jets have specially designed hydraulics, fuel pumps and pressurised tanks to deal with this

6:07 MD-80 can actually fly upside down. Your md-80 didn't fly inverted because you had flaps extended, as stated by that warning message. Retract the flaps to 0 and try again, you might have more luck flying it upside-down

Here's a story for you:
Two pilots, Randall and Orval, had been arguing for what felt like hours. They had been arguing back and forth about the best way to fly the plane, each of them certain that their way was the best. Neither of them was willing to give in, and the argument had grown more heated by the minute.
Neither of them had noticed that the plane had been slowly flying upside-down, until the passengers started screaming in terror. Everyone on board had been thrown to the ceiling of the plane, which had now become the floor. The flight attendants were trying to calm people down, but the panic was infectious and quickly spread throughout the cabin.
The pilots were now frantically trying to regain control of the plane, but it was too late. The wings had already started to break off, and the plane was quickly losing altitude. The cockpit had separated from the cabin, and a parachute had deployed from the cockpit.
But when the cabin and cockpit hit the water, the weight of the passengers, pilots, captains, and flight attendants was too much for the parachute to handle, and everyone on board drowned.
Years later, a man in a submarine discovered the plane wreck in the middle of the ocean. He quickly spread the word about his discovery, and soon the news had reached all corners of the world. But when the man who had discovered the plane wreck returned home, he noticed that everyone who had heard the news had suddenly died.
He was now the only one left alive, with the whole world to himself. He never forgot the incredible discovery that he had made, and always remembered the tragic end of the two pilots and all of their passengers.
Here's another very similar story. See if you can tell which story is true!
John and Mary had been flying the same route for years. They knew each other well, and had long conversations about the news, the weather, and their families. But on this particular day, their conversation had gone from friendly to heated.
John was a conservative, and Mary was a liberal, and the two of them were at odds over the current political climate. They argued back and forth for what seemed like hours, neither one of them willing to back down or give the other the last word.
Little did they know, their argument had caused them to take their eyes off the instrument panel for far too long and the plane had slowly drifted into an upside-down position over the ocean. As the plane continued to drift further and further downward, the passengers began to panic.
The flight attendants were walking on the ceiling, which was now the floor, trying to calm everyone down and keep them in their seats. But the panic was still palpable and everyone was screaming in terror.

4:34 that would happen in real life. The engine turned off because the movement of the aircraft prevented fuel from reaching the engine causing fuel starvation preventing the engine from running.
He is talking about it turning back on. Since the engine is flipped all the oil will drain out of the sump and the oil pump will start sucking air so it might have trouble restarting
