Well this is VERY detailed for a kids toy but you are right that Mattel could make their dolls a little nicer rather than contiunely trying to make it cheaper quailty but for the same price as a nice doll.
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a barbie WITH NO FREIKIN EYES!!!!!!!!! (the doll was a gift and it came in a box that wouldn't let you see the doll before you got it.)

y'know, the fact that when you said it isnt normal to have that many eyelid wrinkles in real life hit me like a comet in the jurassic period because i have a lot of upper eyelid wrinkles. Despite a lot of people telling "ooh its really pretty though. makes eye shadow pop out and your eyes looks young" i still kinda get insecured until one day my SO grabbed me and just screamed affirmations

Here's what I usually do for patterns if it helps you:
1. draw 2-3 shapes on one side. don't think about what shapes to do.
2. do the same shapes on the other side.
3. add dots and lines symmetrically.
