Matt, since you are interested in MBA programs, you should pursue MBA programs in the Washington, D.C. area that will give you a good shot at having a career in government consulting at Booz Allen, Deloitte GPS, Guidehouse, or Accenture Federal Services. You mentioned you would like to get some international experience--try looking into teaching English abroad in Asia such as The English Program in Korea (EPIK Program) and the Japan and Exchange Teaching Program (JET Program). After spending time in Asia, you could apply for the Thomas Pickering Fellowship and the Rangel Fellowship Program which provides tuition support to pursue a graduate degree related to international relations as well as support MBA programs and then you land a position as a Foreign Service Officer at the State Department.
